when the car came to a halt, soonyoung was the first one to step out of the car because he was the closest to the door and areum was sitting on chan's lap meaning he was free.
once he was out, he looked around and glared at anyone the looked at them sideways, he was looking for anyone that seemed suspicious. since they are still hitmen in the mafia, there were still people that wanted them dead, either because of competition or they killed one of their loved ones, or simply because they hated them and wanted to get back at them in some sort of way, and areum was the way to get to them easily.
he stood there for a few minutes before the driver got out of the car and stood next to him, "how long are you going to wait?" he asked in a serious voice as he too looked around at the people, "just a moment more," soonyoung responded, narrowing his eyes at everyone.
just as they were glaring at the people walking into the school, the school staff looked at them as well. it's not every day you see people dressed in black looking suspiciously at everyone to drop a child off, so they probably had their suspicions about them as well.
but when they saw areum come out of the car with chan by her side, they seemed to back off and look away.

they stood there for a few minutes before areum spoke up, wondering why she wasn't going into the school yet, "channie, can i go inside?" she asked with a small pout on her face, "yeah, just give me a second, princess," chan said to her without looking and still holding onto her small hand. "ok," she mumbled.
they stood there for a moment more before soonyoung spoke, "okay, that's enough," and chan went back in the car to get her little bag, "soonyoung, are you okay?" she asked soonyoung, she drew his attention by holding his hand and he flinched before he answered, "huh- yeah. don't worry," he smiled at her.
he crouched down in front of her to look at her in the eyes, "you be very careful and be nice to the other kids, okay? give me a kiss and chan will walk you in," he pointed at his cheek with a smug smile on his face, "okay!" she smiled widely and hugged him before she kissed his cheek.
