"let's go" he extended his arm and we started walking towards the beach

we walked hand in hand towards the ocean. the sand was burning my feet, but it also felt so soft in between my toes, "you want to get in the water now?" "yeah, but let's put on sunscreen first" i mumbled a little staring off into the distance

he placed our bag down and pulled out sunscreen, "here" he handed me the spray bottle, "thanks"

i started spraying it all over my arms and legs, but i couldn't reach my back, "o-oppa, can you help me with the sunscreen?" i was talking rather low, he nodded and grabbed the bottle from my hand

he pushed my hair out of the way and put it on my shoulder, he sprayed it on his hands and started rubbing it on my back

his hands were soft and warm... they were intoxicating and addictive, "you know i love you, right?" he said against my nape sending shivers down my spine

"w-why me?" i mumbled

"because... you're so innocent sometimes, but... you know how tainted the world is. but you somehow have managed to stay kind. you found out what we were and you stayed with us" he started back hugging me

"i don't know anything else but you guys, and i like my life like this. with all of you" i uttered back

he chuckled a little, "i guess that's true" he mumbled, his low voice giving me goosebumps

he started kissing my shoulder, softly. i gasped surprised, "o-oppa-" "call me by my name" he said interrupting me, "what?" my eyes widened, "call me by my name, don't call me oppa anymore" he stated

"s-soonyoung" i mumbled

his voice was dark, darker than ever before. it's strange seeing all of these new sides of them, but... i like it

soonyoung, you're a whole new person, it's like i'm getting to know you all over again...

"l-let's go into the water" i tried to get the words out as soon as possible, to get out of his grasp, he chuckled at my actions

i ran towards the sea, giggling a bit at the situation

i could hear him running behind me, i jumped into the sea and started splashing everywhere and i started swimming farther into the ocean

"wait for me!" soonyoung yelled from behind me, it's amazing his mood changes so quickly

"swim faster then!' i yelled back

i started to get on my back so that i could float on my back, the sea was always a comforting place for me, just the sound of the waves calms me down

-soonyoung's pov-

she looks so calm, just a moment she was panicking, i chuckled looking down at her. i was standing beside her, hovering a bit over her

"do i make you uncomfortable?" i said all of a sudden, startling her a bit, "oh, sorry for scaring you" she got off her back and stood up normally, "you d-don't make me uncomfortable, it's just it's strange seeing this side of you, b-but i honestly like it" she stuttered

"you like it, eh?" i smirked and put a hand on her waist, her face became red in seconds, "yeah so what" she whispered, barely audible, i let out a hearty laugh

"i know this is random, but... do you remember that man?" she asked looking up at me, "what man?" "it was when we were still in paris, he came over to the house and he wanted to talk to me, but seungcheol wouldn't let him. he was an ethereal looking man, i-i think you called him taemin?"

"oh, he was sort of like a henchman of jongin, in some sense. he was supposed to meet you at the celebration, but he suddenly came over, said he wanted to talk about something and he wanted to meet you then, but hyung wouldn't let him. but then you came downstairs, and you know the rest" i explained, she kept looking up at me, she was really paying attention, as i was talking i kept playing with her long hair

"wait, did you just call taemin ethereal?" i questioned her, "y-yeah, what about it? he was" she looked down a little guilty. i looked down at her, scowling at her choice of words

"i'll let it go this time" i said in a serious tone, "can you tell me what exactly the others are going to do?", my face turned dark for a moment, "you really want to know" "yes, just don't react the same way you did a moment ago" she said pouting and hugging me, still looking up at me, she looks like a puppy

"we were able to find their headquarters and the guys are going to go and... well you know" i didn't want to mention the last part again, "exterminate them" she finished the sentence, surprising me

"yeah" i was still brushing her hair with my fingers, "why don't we talk about something else, eh?" i tried to change the solemn mood that fell on us

for the rest of the afternoon, until sunset, we played in the sea. it honestly was fun and it did take my mind off what was currently happening somewhere else, but once the laughter and joy died down my mind went back to the people that were probably dying. because of me

once the sun set, we did have to go back

a/n sorry this one is a little shorter than normal, normally there are between 1000 to 3000 words at most this one doesn't even pass 1000, sorry. right now it's a little hard to type because i got acrylic nails, and they're too long. i know it's not a real excuse, again sorry

also i most likely won't be able to post again this week because i have a test, and also most of the month of may i also won't be able to post because i'm testing EVERY SINGLE WEEK and it has me super stressed. it is the end of the school year in the US so hopefully after may i'll be back to posting regularly, again sorry
