Suddenly there's some noise coming from the other side of the lake, spreading around it like someone or something's on the move.
The elf grabs her bow and arrows, standing her ground, ready to attack whatever creature's heading her way.
At least a dozen orcs, and some with wargs, jump out from the trees and bushes. The she-elf starts firing her arrows at them, but they're getting closer.
Thorin notices a slight worried expression creeping over the elf's face, and that her quiver is running out of arrows.
After some slight consideration, he decides to step forth and come to her aid, and he's just in time as a warg's about to jump the elf, lurking on her right side.
Thorin swings his sword and kills the warg, stabbing it's rider through the neck.
The elf looks surprised, like she never expected to be saved by a dwarf.
She fires a few more shots at the rest of the orcs and wargs, and so does Thorin, and very soon their enemy's dead.
