They walk in silence for a while. In the far distance they can see a small village.
Fehlina pulls her hood over her face.
"I'll advice you to do the same," she says to Thorin. "They aren't very fond of strangers, and it's overall not a very friendly place."
"So you've been here before?" Thorin asks her.
"Just once," Fehlina answers.
"Do you know the most decent place for a warm meal and to get some shuteye?" Thorin asks and looks at her, trying to catch a glimpse of her face under the shadow of her hood.
"At the Inn of The Prancing Pony," Fehlina tells him. "But it's not very decent, none of them are."

As they approach the gate to the city, Fehlina stops.
"It was nice to meet you, Thorin Oakenshield," she says.
Thorin lifts his head to gaze up at her once again, hoping to see her face one last time to remember her by, but through the heavy rain that has started falling, only the paleness of her fair skin and her soft lips, are visible.
"I wish you the best of luck in finding a home and your true purpose," Fehlina smiles at him.
"You might wander still, but I hope you'll be a little less lost."

She knocks on the gate, and after some questions, they are permitted to enter the city, the gatekeeper looking suspiciously at the odd pair, never having seen an elf and a dwarf journeying together before.

"Thank you for taking me here," Thorin says, and now it's his turn to bow his head in gratitude. Fehlina gives him a quick nod and walks through the gate, leaving Thorin behind.
