Lily curled into Damien's side, his arms wrapped tightly around her little body.

She was too precious, too perfect, too amazing to be real. Whenever he thought of her he thought of happiness and most of the times when she crossed his mind a smile would find it ways to his lips. He thought about her often.

The medication Lily was taking was an anti depressant, Prozac to be exact. It made her tired and gave her headaches, but it was expected. He had just given her some advil and he wanted her to lay down for a while. She fiddled with his rings as she clutched his hand tight in hers. No matter how much he reassured her that he wasn't going to leave her, she never believed him.

"Damey?"

"Mhm."

"Are we still goi-going to the lake house?"

"Whatever you want to do baby. It's your birthday. If you don't feel comfortable going, we can just stay home," He said softly, pressing his lips to her forehead.

She burst into tears and Damien sat up, pulling her up so he could rock her in his lap and she could cry into his shoulder.

"Sshhh, it's okay. I'm right here," he whispered. His heart clenched in his chest- he always wished he could take all of her pain and sadness so she didn't have to experience it. The way her body shook with sobs as she clung onto him like he was her life vest and she wad drowning made him wish she never experienced that feeling again.

"I'm s-sorry," she gasped out between choked sobs.

Damien hushed her again, letting her breathing become even once more.

"You have nothing to apologize for okay? It's okay to cry baby, I don't want you to think that crying is bad or embarrassing. I'm not saying I like to see my girl cry because I don't. But I want you know I'm always going to be right here and even if you try to get rid of me, you won't be able to okay? I'm like a pesky little speck of dust."

"N-no, you're n-not pes-pesky," she stuttered.

"Oh yes I am little girl," he teased.

"Nu uh. D-damey takes good c-care of me and ho-holds me and-and lets me walk around w-with no p-pants."

"I don't let you do that silly girl, you do that on your own accord."

"Is it okay if w-we go to the lake h-house?" Lily asked, peering up at Damien with teary eyes.

"If that's what you want," Damien responded.

"W-will it ma-make you happy?"

"As long as you're with me I'm happy," he cooed. Tears dripped down Lily's cheeks as she hugged Damien.

Damien wanted to bring her to the lake house but he didn't want to bring her because she thought he wanted to go. He knew she would love to see the sunset over the lake.

Her birthday was in 4 days and he had gotten her the perfect present. Hopefully the perfect present.

The doorbell rang and Damien sighed, picking up Lily and putting her on his hip. He looked through the glass panelling next to the door and saw Alyssa, Charlie, and Lorelei standing there. He chuckled lightly, opening the door.

Lily wiped her tears with her fingers before wiggling her way out of Damien's arms, much to his dismay.

"Hi Lils!" Charlie greeted, pulling her into a hug. "We have all missed you and your pretty little outfits and positive attitude!"

Charlie stood back, noticing her swollen red eyes and tried not to frown at the sight. Lily didn't deserve this, no one did.

"We brought over some treats... I remember how much you love cinnamon buns," Lorelei smiled, opening the light blue box in her hands. In it was 4 cinnamon rolls, dripping with icing.

"Thank yo-you!" Lily said, rushing over to give her a hug.

"I'm just here because I drove them but I have missed you," Alyssa smiled sadly. "If my brother isn't taking good enough care of you, you are always free to stop by the bakery and stay with me in my office."

"Thank you Lyssie."

Damien knew that Lily wanted to go back to work but he wasn't letting her just yet. She needed time to just rest.

"Well, it was nice to see you Lily! Love you," Alyssa smiled and Lily waved in return.

Damien smiled as he closed the door as Lily stared at the box of cinnamon buns in her hands, her eyes filling with tears from happiness.

"No more crying," Damien said, picking Lily back up and carrying her over to the kitchen.

Lily grabbed plates after getting down from Damien's arms and took a bite of the cinnamon roll, smiling at the taste. Icing dripped down her chin making Damien chuckle.

"Come here my messy baby," Damien cooed, using his finger to remove the icing from her chin. Lily, without thinking, took his finger in her mouth and licked the frosting off.

Damien had to stop himself from choking on his breath. He didn't need to have more thoughts of Lily and how pretty she would look on her knees for him. She was pretty no matter what.

"Ar-are you okay?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, all good Lils," Damien huffed out.

"Mkay," she said.

After eating their cinnamon buns, Lily ran up to her room, Damien close behind.

That night, they fell asleep packing Lily's bag, Damien holding her close to him as their breathing evened out.

God I want them to kiss AAAHHHHH I promise they will soon smhhh

Fun story me and my cousin Jasmine were driving on the highway and her engine started smoking and her roommate was with us her name is Becca and she was like "oh hell no pull over" and Jasmine was like... okay I guess so we pull over and were like stranded on the side of the highway and we had just been to the beach so I was like in a bathing suit with a big t shirt on so I called Matt while Jasmine called her insurance to tow her car and then the police came and were just chilling with us. The officer like knew my cousin from when they were in high school he was so nice and he let us sit in his car. Matt came and waited with us and the cop waited with us too and the tow truck came like 3 hours later it was so hot. Also the officer had a K9 dog named Ekon which I learned means strong in Nigeria and me and he was such a good dog like my dad used to be a K9 officer when I was like 5 and I have this memory of his dog jumping in my pool and swimming with me and I loved that dog so much he was so good and when he died my parents told me he was going to a better place and I cried because I thought he didn't like me LMAO.
