Chase POV:

The second morning after our wedding I wake up before her and she was laying on her stomach facing me. Her right arm was curled up under her head with her left hand gripping the blanket under her chin. Her left leg was thrown up and over my waist as she was pressed up against my side. I smile as my eyes catch the ring on her hand as the morning sunlight makes it sparkle. I bring up my own left hand and I look at our hands and felt warmth fill me as my eyes trails up her chest, neck, and to her face. I've seen every mix of emotions on that face at some point but this was my favorite. Her completely relaxed and with a naturally tender look on her unguarded face. I carefully grab my phone and take a photo of this because I never want to forget this moment. I sit my phone back down on my nightstand and look back over at her. She must have been feeling my eyes on her because she made a almost humming noise as she started shifting around. Her eyes flutter open as she blinks a few times before her beautiful blue eyes look up and meet mine. She gives me a sleepy smile as and lays her left hand on my left shoulder and sleepily says,

"Morning love."

I smile back as I reach up and grab her hand to give it a light squeeze and say,

"Morning beautiful, how did you sleep last night?"

My smile widens a bit as her face flushes a rosey pink and she gets all shy. I love how even after all this time I can still make her blush and get all awkward and shy. I loved how the normally tough and stubborn woman can be made into a little school girl by only a few words from me. I brush some hair behind her ear as she mumbles,

"Amazingly actually, I don't think I woke up once all night long."

I smile when I hear she slept the whole night, it was almost impossible for her to do. Between just being a light sleeper naturally and having insomnia to all the night terrors that have gotten worse after everything. I lean down and capture her lips with mine softly, and she kisses me back just as softly. I feel something wet hit my skin causing me to pull back slightly and see she was crying. Before I could ask why she speaks up,

"God I'm so happy right now, after everything I still have my family, I still have you. And now we have the rest of our lives to love each other I can't think of any other place I'd rather be."

My throat closes up so all I can do is nod as I slam my lips to hers while flipping us over so I was hovering over. She squeals softly as she was taken by surprise and I deepen the kiss quickly. I didn't let it go any further than that but after a few minutes we get up and go make some breakfast. As she starts making the omelets I make some hash browns. The whole time we were cooking we just joked around and had fun, like we should have always had. I look at her sitting next to me at our bar as she eats and just smile as I think. I think I was the luckiest guy in the world to have gotten her. Yes it wasn't easy, parts of it were hell but as they say nothing that is worth it is easy. And I'm so glad we kicked and screamed our way through it all to stay together.

I rest a hand on her upper thigh as we continue to eat with my thumb rubbing small slow circles. After we clean up we go and put our swimsuits on and hang out in the pool. She was laying on a raft and I was laying over her thighs with a hand on her stomach while my lower body was in the water. Her eyes were closed and head was to the side as she just relaxed. My eyes rest on her stomach as I start to remember how it felt to feel a bump there, to feel the little kicks, to be amazed when I'd see her carrying our baby. And I really wanted to start trying for another one but I knew she wanted to race a bit more before she stops. And it wasn't fair to ask her to stop and have a baby with me again when we have plenty of time.
