Chapter 31

"My King, what should we do to her? She keeps saying that it was an accident" said the head guard

Mew kept quiet for a while and stared intently at the girl who was chained

"Call my..my mom" Mew echoed out sounding choked, a guard quickly went to do so while the head guard stared at his King in a surprised and shocked way..the king sounded like he was holding in his tears

After a short while, the Queen Mother came inside with her guards and maids following suit

"Oh son you're back!! How is my Gabriel doing?" the Queen Mother asked sounding so worried and anxious

"Your Gabriel is doing perfectly well mom" Mew replied while staring at her like it was his first time of seeing her

Queen Rose felt uncomfortable at the way Mew was looking at her

"Is something the matter son?" She asked nervously

"Not at all mother...what punishment should we give her? I already know that she intentionally tried to kill my son" Mew asked

"What happened was really terrifying son but looking at things, I doubt it was intentional..everyone makes mistakes so I think we should let her go" Queen Rose said hiding her nervousness..never did she think that things would be difficult like this

"Whether intentional or not, I will punish her for this so next time no one would dare to mess with my family whether accident or not...guard cut off her right hand, in her next life she would be able to hold a sword properly" Mew ordered and the chained girl panicked

"Nooo!!!! Son you can't do that!! I mean..why do you want to do that to her?? It wasn't intentional, Gabriel is fine now so rest the case and set her free. You have always listened to me son, do as I said" Queen Rose said sounding angry

"Why should I do so?? She's just an ordinary maid and since when do you care about the well beings of the servants here mom??? Cut her right hand now!!!" screamed Mew at the head guard who approached the girl to follow the order

"Stop there!! Don't come close to her" shouted Queen Rose to the servant as she stood in front of her daughter, blocking her from everyone

Mew suddenly started laughing confusing everyone...after a while he nodded his head like he just understood a theory

"Everyone one except them should leave here this instant and wait outside" Mew calmly said pointing at Queen Rose and the chained girl, the guards and maids took their leave

"Why are you being protective of her this way, I haven't seen you like this even with me" Mew asked with sadness hinted in his face

"Stop talking nonsense Mew! I won't consider you my son if you disobey my order" she said fiercely to Mew who chuckled

"Your son??? *looks around him* are you referring to me because I see no other person around me? Looking at you both clearly now..I can notice the resemblance" Mew said sadly

"What the hell are you talking about Mew!!" shouted Queen Rose looking confused

"Ohhh drop that disgusting act already mother!!!..or should I say QUEEN ROSE!!! All my life I grew up believing that you're my real mom!! telling me bad stories about how Queen Type snatched father from you but eventually died of an illness!!! Heavens!! I was so happy that he died after snatching father from you, I already hated him without even knowing him! Do you know I feel right now knowing that he's my real mom, my birth mom, my one and only mother!!!
