CHAPTER 029.
tw/cw - swearing

GRADUATION ARRIVED FASTER THAN EXPECTED. When going into the whole education and getting a degree, Ximena didn't see herself making it this far. I mean the amount of disturbing things in those bathroom stalls were enough to just drop out and flee the Earth.

With the observe amount of work and money for a degree she would probably not even use since she does have connection. Still, she wanted to at least be able to say she stayed in one option rather than abandoning it a week later.

The day of graduation, she felt sick but fought through it. It did suck that her father nor none of the Sidemen could be there because one, her father hates flying and two, the Sidemen would get bombarded with fans. So, there was nobody in the crowd for her.

Sure, she did have at least two school friends and their family were there for support, but she wanted somebody who knew her other than the basic name status. Though she appreciated the support.

She had been texting two groupchat updating them on everything and just saying random things just to calm her nerves.

Soon enough she was on a field ( since no room was big enough to withhold students and extended family members ), sitting down on her assistant seat. There was going to a few speakers, so she had to wait until called on.

It was boring to her and didn't understand the hype about it. It was just staff members blabbing about how proud they are of their students, just seemed quite weird ( unless people have praising kinks in the crowd ).

Ximena had stood up from her chair to walk in the now forming line so her name could be called. The process was boring but nevertheless her name was called, and some people cheered. But after hours of sitting and waiting, family and friends were allowed onto the field to congratulate their loved ones. Ximena of course headed towards the exit where her ride would be waiting at.

As she made her way towards the exit, she was stopped by somebody patting her shoulder making her turn her head to see the familiar boy standing there with a grin. "You scared me fucker, why are you here?" Her voice raises as she put her arms around his mid.

"What, can't I support my good friend?" The British male chuckles hugging her back.

"Oh, piss off." She groans pulling away from the embrace. "Oh! Look, I am officially smart." Holding up her degree proudly with a smile.

"You majored in film and edit I-"

"Didn't you do something with computers?" George went silent. "Exactly. Also, why are you here? Not saying I don't enjoy you coming to support me which by the way, thank you truly."

George shrugs walking away with Ximena following. "Just wanted to support you out in the crowd because I knew how much this day means to you."

"Aww, George. How am I supposed to hate you when you do this shit?"

"You know you don't hate me."

"Debatable but uh. . . did you walk here?"

"Nope took a lift. I was told I could take you to lunch then you would be eating with the Sidemen." George stopped in front of a car to which Ximena assumed was their lift. "Get in."

She does so, greeting the driver in the way in. "Where are we eating?" A simple question that could be easily answer. The sound of a seatbelt clicking indicated her seatbelt was on.

"Of course, I can't offer you the finest things," Ximena raises an eyebrow towards him seeing the lies through him. "But you know I was like what's one thing every person wants once they graduated? MacDonald's." He finishes as he puts on his seatbelt.

"The finest of men." She jokes with a headshake. "I'm fine with it though, simply yet uh. . ."

"Exquisite."

"Yup, yup." She sighs looking towards the window.

"I've ordered it to your place by the way. Vik gave me the address." He only got a hum in response, and he took it as she was already tired and rightful so. Keeping up with a schedule back in America was difficult to manage.

The whole car ride was silent until they had arrived at Ximena place where they were also greeted by the delivery person handing over their lunch for the day.

Opening the door, Waddles runs over to her owner in bliss. "Meet Waddles." She blurs out in a tired manner. "We can eat at the couch and put something on if you like?"

"Sure."

BARLEY EATEN FOOD WITH A STREAM PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND, XIMENA HAD FALLEN ASLEEP. Her head on the couch armrest and her body curled up taking up two spots leaving George at the end with enough space.

He didn't mind that she fell asleep he was just worried that's all. Even through the jokes they make towards one another, he cares about her wellbeing and could see she was struggling to keep up with her American friends and he knew that feeling. All he hoped was it wouldn't be the same when she is back in America.

So, picking up all the garbage and throwing it out, he texted Vik telling him of the situation at hand and he was understanding of it. He found two blankets and placed one over Ximena. George ended up staying over sitting back down at his original spot with a separate blanket.

The feline cat found herself on George's lap curled up ready to sleep. "Night Waddles." With a quiet response back from her, he went to sleep.
