Sasori x Reader | Teaching Puppetry Headcanons

Request: Hi can I request a scenario or headcanons (whichever one is easier for you!) where sasori's s/o asks him to teach her how to make a puppet? and where his s/o is realllly into art? i'm sorry if this is confusing😭

￫ Sasori wasn't all that surprised when you approached him asking if he would teach you how to make puppets

￫ You had already shown a great interest in art, after all, and his style specifically seemed to interest you

￫ He was pleased nonetheless, and agreed to teach you as long as you didn't drag along, or ask too many stupid questions

￫ He started with teaching you the basics, the mechanics and how exactly puppets worked before he got into how to create them

￫ And he started with regular puppets, since his human-puppet creations were definitely not on a beginner level

￫ He wouldn't admit it, but he enjoyed watching you work with his tools, and he was filled with an odd sense of pride knowing you wanted to learn more about and recreate his art, his life's work

￫ He didn't waste any opportunity to teach you something, he'd talked about the origins of puppetry and its use in combat, the way human-puppets functioned, and even the works of other renowned puppeteers, though he focused mainly on his own accomplishments when he lectured you

￫ He did consider himself to be the best, afterall

￫ His teaching-style was a bit biased, but you learned a lot regardless

￫ If you ever did manage to recreate his human-puppets, or even how to use them in battle, he would be immensely proud of you, and though he probably wouldn't voice it, his increased respect for you would speak for itself
