(One week later)

"Lucy hi" Courtney greeted me at her front door
"Hey just thought I'd come see you and the baby" I explained Courtney's mum gave birth to a baby girl about a month ago and I still had to see her plus Courtney's mum Stacy phoned me asking no to say to Courtney but to go and help her with the baby since I knew what to do
"Yeah of course come in" she moved aside letting me in

We entered the living room Courtney's house was very lovely inside the white walls in the hallway some pictures of Courtney and her family to complement it there was one picture there I adored it was one of me Courtney and Alex and the boys when we were like 10 years old at Courtney's birthday party all making funny faces

"There she is" Courtney beamed gesturing to the baby sitting on one of those little chair things new born baby's lay on
"Oh she's beautiful" I gasped moving closer to the baby
"Her names polly"Courtney chuckled
"She suits it"i smiled I always loved kids and baby's I always had the patience for them I can't wait to have my own one day

"Can I hold her" I asked
"Of course do you know what your doing cause I don't" Courtney chuckled
"Yeah I used to babysit my cousins where's your mum and dad" I asked
"They're out on a date today asked me to watch polly"she explained I nodded taking polly out of her little chair thing Sitting on the settee with polly now sleeping in my arms

"Do you know how to make a bottle" Courtney asked she clearly had no clue what to do
"Yeah hold her and I'll make one" I said Courtney slipped once arm gently under pollys head and the other under her legs her hand resting at the bottom of her back

I jogged into the kitchen and started making a bottle for polly putting the kettle on while I waited on the kettle boiling I washed the baby bottle
Once the kettle was boiled I poured the water into the bottle then I took the baby milk power scooping 4 scoops of power into the bottle sealing the bottle then shaking the bottle for about 2 minutes to make sure the power fully dissolved then running the bottle under the cold tap for about 5 minutes with the teet of the bottle spilling a little bit onto my wrist to make sure it wasn't too hot

I made my way to the living room to see Courtney bonding with polly it was heartwarming she was holding polly the same way she was when I left her talking away to her in a sweet baby voice
"Your big cousin Lulu is helping me look after you since I don't know what I'm doing" Courtney cooed then saying that little overexcited yeah thing people say to baby's

"Why don't you feed her"I offered but Courtney shook her head "you joking I'll end up choking her"she laughed handing polly over to me
I began to feed polly watching her in awe
"So what happened when I left last week" Courtney piped up I haven't told her about the kiss after the dare and to be honest me and Alex haven't spoke about it we've seen each other nearly everyday after it but never talked about it and to be honest my feelings towards him are getting stronger

"Well where do I start" I giggled
"From the point I left you nimwit" she laughed
"Well when you left it was the same laughing and joking Jamie tried to sing we all know how that went" I started Courtney just laughed
"Then Alex offered to walk me home so he did and when we got to the middle of the street Alex asked to kiss me again" I explained Courtney let out a huge gasp
"No fucking way" she squealed
"Don't swear infront of polly" I scolded
"Anyway what did you do"she asked
"Kissed him back and now I've got a crush on him" I admitted
"I knew it" she called "but what about now you two have been out near enough everyday did yous talk about it"she asked I shook my head
"Not even a word but we've been flirting but I think he's doing it in a friendly way" I said looking at my feet

We talked some more while I began to wind polly then there was a knock on the door "I'll get it" Courtney said getting off the couch
When she came back she sat back beside me then Alex came through the door Alex looked at me and just froze I don't know why but he just did

"You alright Alex" I asked patting Polly's back to get her to burp or something
"Yeah I joost didn't kno' yeh kno' how teh look after a babeh" he stuttered making me giggle
"I have a knack my granny says" I mumbled smiling down at polly that was until polly been sick over my jeans
"Oh my god Lucy I am so sorry" Courtney gasped and Alex just burst into a fit of laughter
"It's alright it least she won't have a sore tummy" I said
"I'll just get you two some new clothes" Courtney said "come with me cause I don't know how to change a baby"she added

We went upstairs Courtney dug out some clothes for polly and handed me them while I got her changed on her changing station
"You know I wish I was your age again" I whispered to her even though she doesn't even know what I'm saying
"You know when your a big girl boy problems or girls you never know" i sighed smiling at polly who was asleep

I turned my head to see Alex leaning on the doorframe he looked handsome standing there 'stop that Lucy he's your best mate'I mentally said to myself
"Shehs cute ain't sheh" Alex said nodding to polly
"She is" I sighed
"Here Courtney told mEh teh give yeh these"he chuckled handing me some joggers I mouthed a thanks to him
"I'll watch her till Yeh put them on" Alex stated
I nodded and made my way to the bathroom

Once I came back Alex was just standing there holding polly he looked as if he didn't know what to do
"Yeh want her back I'm a bit para just incase I hurt her yeh kno' cause Shehs so tineh"he chuckled "yeah thanks"I replied
"I wanted teh talk teh yeh" he spoke softly
"About what" I replied
"About that kiss"
