the day after you stole my heart

(Valentine's day 2009)

Valentines day a time to show your partner your love for them showering them with love and affection with gifts or going somewhere even staying on the house enjoying eachothers company

And that's what Me and alex planned for today to stay indoors all day matt was picking rhiannon and amy up from school and he's going to babysit them with nick whilst me and alex have a day for us

Zoe was having Miles over hers aswell they two have been close ever since Christmas and to be honest I ship it zoe deserves a bit of happiness in her life

"Babeh wanna watch summat" alex called from the bedroom it wasn't even the afternoon yet I was making us a early lunch pancakes, waffles and for an extra surprise i decided to make a cake from scratch and its in the oven

I added some syrup on the pancakes and waffles and decorated them with some fruit cut into hearts and some milk and white chocolate chips
"'Mere a sec babe" I called back quickly checking on the cake I decided to wait till the cake was completely finished till alex finds out

I heard his bare feet patter against the wooden floor his messy hair that was growing longer the boys decided to all grow their hair out for some reason but I'm not complaining alex look good with long hair and Rhiannon loves to play hairdressers with it

"Wha' d'yeh make" he asked wrapping his arms around my waist from behind his chin resting on my shoulder placing lazy kisses on my neck
"Well since its valentines day I thought I should treat you to pancakes and waffles" i smiled grabbing some forks and knives for us
"Smells loveleh babe" he hummed placing on last kiss on the lips this time before grabbing his plate and ect

"Wanna eat it in bed or sit here" he asked nibbling on some choc chips
"Eat here I have something for us to do af it" I smiled taking a seat on a stool by the island in the middle of the kitchen
"I hope its summat very fun" he smirked making me roll my eyes in response
"Was an hour ago not enough for you" I pouted cutting a piece of my pancake

"Yeh know i can't get enough of yeh lucy" alex stated I honestly couldn't live anyone more than I love alex he is truly my other half nothing could ever break our little family apart no matter what

"Anyway what I have planned is" I paused the timer going off for the cake I set my fork down munching on the pancake I had in my mouth making my way to the oven

I took the cake out placing the tray with the golden sponge on top of the oven to cool "we could decorate the cake together" I smiled Alex's eyes lit up a sweet smile on his face
"I thought I was the romantic one in this relationship" he joked
"Alex this is a modern marriage we share everything" I joked back even though we're not married at all but as I said it's like we are

After eating we got to decorating the cake making pink buttercream icing I also found some gel icing and sprinkles from last time we all made a cake with rhiannon

"Alexander don't you dare" I warned alex had a wicked grin on his face wiggling his finger with icing on it trying to smear it on my face
"Alex no" I cried hiding myself from him "Oh come on Lucy is onleh a bit of icing" he chuckled before smearing it over my cheek "Oh your dead" I said before taking the icing on my own finger chasing him around the house

He fell on the settee I got on top of him both of us laughing uncontrollably alex shook his head trying to get me not to cover his face with icing
"I'm sorreh in sorreh yeh win" he breathed out I stopped making him look at me

I leaned in for a kiss before dotting icing on the tip of his nose "now I win" I smiled getting off him and back into the kitchen, finishing off the cake the pink buttercream icing spread over the cake a heart in the middle with gel icing pearl like sprinkles over the outer edge and red crystally sprinkles in the little heart

It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst at the end of the day me and alex spended time together we decided to leave the cake till after dinner what we had planned to be takeout followed by laying in bed for the rest of the evening

And that's what we did just enjoying each other with some Chinese takeout and some cake afterwards saving some for rhiannon for when she comes home tomorrow morning

This morning when we got Rhiannon ready for school after breakfast me and alex did what we always did for rhiannon on valentines day so she doesn't feel left out that me and alex are celebrating
We got her a little box of chocolates and a Teddy bear with a heart personalising it with her name on it along with a valentines day themed colouring book and a little card

"Now can weh watch summat in bed?"
alex asked very eagerly "yes Mr I'm too eager to watch a movie" I teased putting the last plate into the cabinet
Alex took my hand and lead us to our bedroom

"So what we gonna watch?" I asked once we got into the room
"Weh can watch a movie later I have summat else weh can do" he smirked his hand still holding mine bringing me closer to him till his other hand was on my waist and our chests pressed together

"Happeh valentines day babeh"he whispered his forehead resting on mine to only place a gentle loving kiss on my plump lips I kissed him with the same about of love maybe even more if that was even possible

Alex deepend out kiss his hand that was on my own now cupping my Rosie cheek

(Third person pov)
Alex backed Lucy on the bed hovering above her with nothing but love in his chocolatey orbs

Lucy laid there with the same look in hers Alex's hand caressed her bare thigh kissing her lips pouring all his love and affection into it

After all those many years he's known her she was always so beautiful to him not one single flaw he could detect on her even if he tried his hardest she's perfect to him

(Alex's pov)
We laid on the bed panting our skin slick with sweat Lucy's head on my chest our legs tangled together My arm around her softly stroking her bare back my other arm under my head both of us not saying anything just enjoying each other

I was in deep thought happy thoughts thinking about my life with Lucy how much she means to me she's so beautiful to me, to anyone who sees her she's perfect inside and out

I've known her since we were kids in primary school when she was a little bit chubby just as we were entering high school had our good times, bad times

"D'yeh remember when weh were little probableh around 13,14 and we didn't have a valentines but the lads did so we were each others" I asked chuckling at how we were back then nothing much changed since then

Lucy let out a laugh 'oh her laugh' I couldn't help but smile hearing her
"Of course I do" she replied nuzzling closer to me then again comfortable silence

I will be forever grateful for that night in summer when she got dared to kiss me if it wasn't for that dare we maybe wouldn't be where we are right now

Lucy is the best thing that happened to me she's truly the love of my life the day after she Stole my heart I knew I couldn't lose her

She helped me through my struggles she believed in me when starting out with the band and most importantly she gave me our beautiful little girl who I love more than anything the two most important people in my life the love of my life and my baby girl

It's us three against the world I said since we found out we were expecting rhiannon and it will always be like that who knows maybe us four

I knew right then and there I want to marry Lucy for real this time truly make her my wife and for me to be her husband
