The place was filled with people drinking,laughing,mingling just enjoying themselves alex had his hand on the small of my back my dress sparkling throughout the place "you look incredible" alex whispered the scent of alcohol on his breath "thank you handsome" I smiled tipsy from the amount of champagne I drank
"10 more minutes till its 2012" miles shouted standing on top of a table already pissed out his mind me and alex chuckled at our friend "10 more minutes till your my new year's kiss" alex smirked pulling me so my body pressed against his "another year of happiness" I said wrapping my arms around his neck bringing him into a soft kiss
This new year's party was an all adults one like your typical one so rhiannon had to stay with penny and David since we were in Sheffield zoe couldn't make it because amy had a 24 hour bug the poor lamb I wish I could make her feel better
Pulling away from the kiss Alex had the biggest smile on his face "I love you so much" he said pulling me in for another kiss when I say I love this man I mean it he could do nothing wrong in my eyes
"It's the final countdown" miles shouted we started to count the last 10 seconds of 2011 ready for 2012
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,"
"Happy new year"we all shouted alex immediately wrapped his arms around me pulling me in for a sloppy drunkin kiss all our feelings for each other pouring into a simple tongue tied kiss I would never forget this moment for as long as I live kissing the man I man I love lips I couldn't ask for anything more right now nothing could take this moment away

It was now 4 in the morning Lucy went to the hotel about and hour ago I was absolutely drunk steaming if you will I was dancing to some old 90s techno tune raving like I did as i teen I felt alive like I did as a kid
Miles arm around my shoulders singing to better off alone clubland classics 90s tunes "do you think your better off alone" we all sang some girl at a corner eyeing me up I had to admit she was stunning but not like my Lucy nothing compared to her I wouldn't even give her the time of day I have the woman I need In our hotel room waiting on me
"She's giving you the eye" miles said a look of disgust he new how much I love my Lucy hoe much I doted on her after all she is my first and only love the mother of my gorgeous daughter "well she can stop she won't get anywhere" I said sipping on my vodka n cherryaid
"Want me to cast her under my kane spell bewitch her" miles asked I nodded in approval anything to get her off my back after all

Alex gave the now nod to get the girl odd his back even though me and zoe have a thing we aren't official we both agreed to see other people so I may as well help my best friend when he's in need
I strutted up to the fine lady my hand against the wall My signature kane smile on my lips She gave one back "couldn't help but notice you staring at me" I said with my charming smile on my face
"As much as I think your cute and all I was looking at your friend there" she said in her American accent "yeah well I'm afraid to say he's off the market" I said with a "apologetic" look on my face
"Oh" was all that came out her mouth
"I'm miles" I instructed she smiled at me spitting on her drink "arielle" she replied we chatted for a bit and then she was gone I didn't know where she went

Back in the hotel room I was still drunk and bored my nice dress now thrown somewhere in the room I fished out some pyjamas finding a pair of shorts and an oversized t-shirt that belongs to alex that he sometimes slept in
