Jay and I were at the spot we all typically go whenever we need to think about something.
Jake's pool house.
Over time, Jake's poolhouse became the go to hang out spot because it's easily accessible.
Jake's parents are never home, aside from that we all have keys for the gate to his garden so that's where we usually enter.
Since the others are at school and Heeseungs at work, we'll have this place all to ourselves.
"Speak up Niki what's going on."
I can't do anything but sigh.
My head's a jigsaw puzzle, it's been like this for weeks.
"I honestly can't pinpoint it."
„Try. Describe the way you feel."
„I don't know... I just feel, disconnect I guess? I mean why did I even get into that accident at all? I just don't get it. I remember the fight, clearly, but either way I don't know why it happened. And ever since then- no actually before- it's just been difficult."
Jay seems deep in thought.
„What's been difficult?"
He asks.
„Just- people. I've been a lot more insecure..."
„Why?"
I shift my gaze to the fireplace, avoiding Jay's.
Jay and puts a hand on my shoulder.
„Do you want to talk about it?"
We sit in silence for a while before I gather the courage to speak up.
„It's just... I don't know I've been feeling awkward lately, like I'm always awkward around Sunoo because I don't know how to communicate. Also, Jungwon's always feeling down and I don't know how to properly cheer him up, it's pressuring me."
„That's my fault I feel stupid."
My eyes widened.
„What? No! Why?"
„Because I know exactly what you mean, I don't know how to deal with feelings either, but I'll fix it Niki, we'll manage right?"
"Yes. We will."
