Part Twenty-Four: The Date Part Two

Jamie's POV:
I knew I needed a hair cut. I mean I haven't cut it since before the playoffs. I know it was getting long and so was my beard.

L: ok so is there a way you want me to cut it or is it my choice?

J: all up to you. My beard also needs a trim too if you want to do that.

L: ok you're going to look great.

I honestly wasn't doubting her. I wanted to look good for her and I knew I looked better with a hair cut but I just didn't make the time to get one.

L: so where should we cut your hair? Do you have trimmers or am I going to have to use kitchen scissors lol

J: I have some we can go to my bathroom lol

L: sounds good

We start walking back inside and Lucy grabs her drink.

L: this is a really nice place

J: it's ok I was thinking of moving.

L: moving?

J: yeah this place just doesn't feel like home

L: I get it. Sometimes change is a good thing and if you have an idea of what you want then I say go for it

J: yeah I just want something less in your face and more enchanting.

L: yeah I get it but this place is really nice did you build it?

J: yeah I did but I don't think I'd want to build again.

L: why?

J: I want to fix up an older house they have really good foundations and it's just not feasible to make houses like that anymore plus I just like the look better

L: I get that. Nick did that with his last house. I swear even if a tornado went by that house it would still be standing

She was smart. She was something I never thought I needed or wanted in my life. She was unapologetically herself and truly wanted the best for people.

We were walking upstairs and I all I can think about is how I don't see myself in this house anymore.

L: so this is where the magic happens.

J: ahaha no magic unless you wanted to ;)

L: Jamie Benn. I am here to cut you hair. What type of girl do you think I am?

J: I'm just playing but offer always stands ;)

L: I'm sure it does

J: I'm going to go grab a chair but the hair cutting stuff is in the closet on the left bottom drawer

L: ok sounds good

Lucy's POV:
I walk into the closet and it was strange. Half of it was empty.

Ohhh.

I guess Jamie and Katie lived together and Katie moved out after their breakup....

I grab the clippers from the drawer and walk back into the bathroom.

I mean I get it. I can't judge him. He had a life before me and that's ok. I just shake it off and set everything up in the bathroom

J: ok so I got the chair

L: so I was thinking since your hair is actually taking over your life maybe I cut like a lot of it off...

J: oh boy what were you thinking
