Part Twenty: The Home

Lucy and Jamie's Phone Call:

L: Hey Jamie!

J: Hey princess! Why you are calling?

L: what are you doing right now?

J: umm I just got to Tyler's place.

L: Awww man so you're busy?

J: well of course I'm not too busy for you. What's up?

L: ummm well I had some business in Dallas an—

J: ARE YOU IN DALLAS?

L: well not technically, but I should be in about 30min.

J: I can pick you up if you don't have any other plans....?

L: why do you think I'm calling? My interview got pushed back to tomorrow so my assistant is going to the hotel to straighten things out and I have a few hours to spare.

J: I'll see you soon. I'm going to have to go and break the news to Tyler and tell him I can't go mini golfing with him.

L: ahaha ok see you soon Jam Jam.

J: bye superstar.

Jamie's POV:

Wow I can not believe she is here!

I get out of my car and walk up to Tyler's door and open it.

J: TYLER!

Tyler: WHAT? IN THE KITCHEN!

I walk over to the kitchen and see him and Kate sitting at the bar stools.

J: hey.

Tyler: hi.

Kate: hey Jamie.

Tyler: you have that look on your face.

J: what look?

Tyler: you're super happy but also like you have bad news.

J: well...

Tyler: I knew it!

J: umm I have to cancel on our plans today.

Tyler: why?

J: one of my friends just called when I pulled up here and said that they are going to be in town in about 30min.

Tyler: and you can't bring them mini golfing?

J: umm well idk if they would like that.

Tyler: oh so you don't want to let them see you lose I get it.

J: you know what doesn't matter I'll tell her we are going mini golfing.

Tyler: wait it's a her?? Who is it??

J: well if you have to know it's Lucy.

Kate: ughh

Jamie looks over at Kate and decided to ignore it.

Tyler: damn man yeah I want to meet her.

J: well we aren't dating so don't make it weird.

Tyler: I won't man I promise.

J: ok well I have to go pick her up but I'll see you back here?

Tyler: yeah sounds good.

I walk back to my car and text Lucy we are mini golfing and she laughs and says she's down.

I get to the airport and I see Lucy get off the plan and the security guard points her to my car and I wave.

L: omg Jamie! It's been too long!
