Lucy's POV:

So the trip was fun. Jamie and I didn't talk and we just had our individual family time and stayed in our separate groups.

I decide to move to Dallas because it does make sense for work and family. I can always move back to Canada later. Plus Dallas is pretty big so it's not like I'll run into Jamie unless I go to the rink.

I sign all the papers and I bought the house Glennda showed me before the trip. My life here in Dallas has started and I am happy. The business is good and Dallas surprisingly has a lot of things to do so I can make a lot of content for YouTube.

I haven't talked to Jamie since before the trip and it's been two months. Which is guess is normal since we didn't end things really on good terms.

I was invited to an all white multiple sclerosis society event in Dallas this evening. I wasn't going to go but I figured I should take a break from work and maybe I'll meet some people at the event. I haven't made a lot of friends here in Dallas yet. Mainly because I've just been working and hangout with my family and friends here.

I get ready for the event and change into this outfit with a white blazer to go over my shoulders.

From what I was told the event has never really ever been formal so I think this outfit will be okay

From what I was told the event has never really ever been formal so I think this outfit will be okay. Brad is also coming with me mainly because I don't want to go to an event where I know no one.

I grab a quick snack from my kitchen before Brad and I head out.

When we get to the event it's nice. It's decorated in orange (colours of MS awareness). I get ushered to take photos on the orange carpet and then do a few interviews. I made my way to my table and I see someone I did not expect to see.

Jamie.

Brad looks at me and just smile and walk towards our seats.

Jamie looks over.

J: hey.

He said it in a cold yet surprised tone.

I force a smile.

L: hi.

Jamie's POV:

I made my rounds and said hi to people at the MS event. I go every year to show support. I just get to my seat and take a break from all the hellos.

I look up and see. Lucy.

We haven't talked in a few months. I had a talk with my mom and she told me why Lucy did what she did and honestly I don't blame her. I am a fucking idiot.

I try not to be too happy to see her even though I am.

J: hey.

L: hi.
