Shoto Todoroki P.O.V.

"I can't believe how bad he looks."

The looks on everyone's face in the class tells me that they were thinking the same thing. His hair still had streaks of white in it, and he looked very malnourished. His eyes had dark rings around it and were puffy. "Has he been crying?" I couldn't help but feel like it was my fault that he looked that way. "Surely there is something I could have done."

He walked over my way to take his seat, but right before he took his seat, he put his hand on my desk. He looked down on me with a glare and his voice sent shivers down my spine. "I don't need your filthy pity."

His voice was raspy and hostile, and I could tell it hurt him to talk. He seemed much angrier than he was before, more hostile. I just nodded my head and he took his seat. "It's like he shut himself off even more." The class looked up at Mr. Aizawa who just ignored the situation and carried on with class.

Bakugo and his little squad of goons seemed annoyed that Midoriya just got away with that. Except for Kirishima, who had the same look of pity that the rest of the class's faces had. "Alright everyone, you might have been able to slack off the last couple of days, but now it's time to start talking about training for what is coming up."

The class didn't seem to excited at first. The last 'big thing' that came up nearly killed our strongest classmate. "Despite the protest from some of the teachers, Principle Nezu decided to go ahead with the sports festival."

Some of the class gasped in surprised while others cheered. Iida stood up. "Are you sure that is a smart idea?! We were just attacked a few days ago!" Aizawa waved his hand telling Iida to sit down. He scoffed at Aizawa but he sat down always.

"I'll let that attitude go since I understand your frustration. I was one of the teachers who protested against the Sports festival. But Nezu fears if we were to cancel it then it would send the wrong message."

Bakugo yelled at Iida. "YEAH, WE ARENT A BUNCH OF PANSIES LIKE DEKU BACK THERE." Mr. Aizawa wrapped his scarf around Bakugo mouth. "Shut up or I'll expel you like Mineta." I could hear Midoriya snicker to himself behind me. Bakugo looked furious, and he let Mr. Aizawa know it when he let the scarf go.

"YOU LET DEKU BACK THERE PRACTICALLY THREATEN ICY HOT AND YOU THREATENED ME?!" Again Mr. Aizawa wrapped his scarf around his mouth but this time he also tied him down in his seat. "Now that little interruption is over, let's talk about what the next month holds."

"Mostly, quirk training. After our mini tournament we had before the USJ, we know who is the best in combat in this class. So, we will be splitting you up in three groups and training you that way. So, everyone can have the level of difficulty they need to improve."

Uraraka raised her hand and Mr. Aizawa called on her. "What about those of us who don't want to be combat heroes?" "Just because you won't be fighting for the most part in your career, you never know what situations you might end up in. So, learning some combat aspects of your quirk won't hurt. Plus, there is combat in every sports festival."

"Any other questions?" He waited for a second before grabbing his folder. "Then enjoy your day off. I have to go talk to one of the other teachers." He glared at Bakugo and his little gang of bullies. "And if any of you cause trouble, you will regret your decision of even coming to this school." Then his glare soften and he looked over at Midoriya quickly before untying Bakugo and walking away.

After Shota left, we sat there in silence for a good few minutes. Then the whispers started, and then the stares of pity. "This is going to be hell." Bakugo got up and slammed his hand on my desk. "Enjoy your pity while it lasts Deku. Soon everyone will see you as the villain you are." I looked up and glared at him. But he didn't budge.
