Chapter 46 || Epilogue

PERCY JACKSON

"Perce," Luke said, "You coming?"

I looked back at the camp, Annabeth holding onto my arm. I smirked when I spotted the Chaos Cabin, which I converted into a secret portal that lead straight to the Chaos Palace. Of course, you could only access it with a key. You didn't think I was gonna leave my friends on Earth all alone, did you?

"Yeah," I sighed, "Just need to say a couple more goodbyes first."

I walked over to where the rest of the Seven were, chatting and laughing.

"So..." I sighed, looking at them, "This is it."

"Relax, Percy," Thalia rolled her eyes, holding up her access card. "You're gonna see us lounging around in your bedroom everyday."

I laughed, giving her a hug.

"Stay sassy for me, Leo," I gave him a clap on the back.

"Stay sassy? Boy, the sass ain't never leaving my soul," Leo snapped his fingers in a "Z" motion.

Just as I was about to open the portal, I heard a yell.

"PERCY WAIT!"

I whipped around to see Sally, Paul, Estelle, and Max. They were running towards me with their access cards kept securely in their pockets(I had them enchanted so they returned just like Riptide). Estelle reached me first.

"I just... thought you might want this."

She revealed... Riptide. Anaklusmos.

"How... How'd you find this?" I asked her.

"Well, it was in some of Mom's old stuff. She uhm... found it when you kinda left Earth."

Mom nodded, smiling sadly.

"Go do great things, Percy," she whispered, giving me a hug, "I love you."

"I... I love you, too, Mom."

Estelle and Max both gave me a big hug while Paul joined in. They let go after a few seconds and I got in the formation with my army members. The Olympians were waving goodbye from where they were playing with their children, all my friends were waving, Annabeth was holding my hand... I was finally happy.

"PEACE!" I yelled as I leaped through the portal.

Yes. I had found peace.

--5 YEARS LATER--

"DADDY! MOMMY!" I saw Hannah running through the halls.

No, not Hannah McFlanders, Hannah Jackson-Chaos. Named after Hannah McFlanders. Our little three-year-old.

"Hannah, don't--" Annabeth started but Hannah tackled Annabeth to the floor.

"That's one strong baby," I heard a voice and saw Zoë behind me, walking forward to help pry the little girl off of Annabeth.

"DADDY INCOMING!"

"NO NO NO DON'T--"

I was tackled to the floor by my little two-year old, Blue. Yes, I named my own daughter after my favorite color. DEAL WITH IT.

"Fancy seeing both parents tackled to the floor," Piper and Jason suddenly came in through the doors, smirking at the sight of us.

"Hey!" I hugged them as I got up.

"No, it's not just us."

Hazel, Frank, Leo, Thalia, Reyna, Nico, Will, Clarisse, and Grover walked in.

"THE WHOLE DAM SQUAD!" Leo yelled, throwing a bunch of blue skittles in the air.

"Oh shoot, he's had skittles," I groaned.

"LET'S HIT THE SPA AND FLIRT WITH THE LADIES!"

"Leo, I'm married--"

"But I'm not..." Leo snickered.

"You can flirt with random girls who won't love you in your own time, but tonight, Annabeth and I are going out to dinner, so you have the babysit Hannah and Blue. Got it?"

"So look after two tiny children with crazy abilities? No pressure at all..." Leo said sarcastically.

Even if I understood, I decided to annoy him a bit.

"Thanks. I knew you'd take the job," I said, clapping him on the back and walking out the door.

"THAT WAS SARCASM!"

"Bye, guys!" Annabeth called as she closed the door.

As we walked out, I remembered walking with her to the mess hall... that day I got betrayed. Immediately, I grimaced and Annabeth frowned.

"You okay?"

I looked into her gray eyes, full of concern and love.

"Flashback?" she guessed.

"No, just a memory," I shook my head, "But it's okay. It's all over."

Yeah. My life isn't any sappy thing either. For the first few years of our marriage, I knew it was gonna be tough because... I mean... we had history with each other. But Annabeth reminded me that it was over. It was in the past. Even if it was still painful, it was gone now.
