Roseanne Park’s POV

June 5, 2013 – Past

There is no one in the world that I hate more than Lalisa Manoban.

You must be wondering why, right? Well, I’ll explain. I simply hate everything about her. From her arrogant way of being, to the way she walks like she owns the world, to the fact that she thinks people fall at her feet at the sight of her, and much more. But mostly because she always finds a way to torment my life. Wherever I go, she’s there. Sometimes it’s as if she stalks me, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she really did.

She must have nothing better to do besides tormenting me. That must amuse her a lot, because ever since that stupid girl walked into my life, I never had any peace and quiet again.

“Rosé, stop squeezing the poor taco. It’s not its fault if you’re stressed.” I hear someone say, but my eyes are focused on that disgusting human being a few feet away from me, who seems to be in a good mood.

I wish I could kill her. It’s incredible how she manages to bring out the worst in me. After a few more seconds, I look away from that table, focusing my attention on the person next to me. Chaeyoung, my twin sister, is staring at me with an amused expression on her face. When her gaze falls to my hands, I look down and a grimace automatically appears on my face.

Shit! I have taco sauce all over my hands.

“Spoiling food again, Rosé?”

My best friend, Jennie, asks with a laugh as she sits down at the table where Chaeyoung and I are. I just roll my eyes, ignoring her, but the grimace on my face intensifies as feel my fingers get all sticky. Great! Besides ruining my lunch, my hands are all dirty. And who’s to blame for all this? Stupid Lalisa Manoban.

“Lisa locked Roseanne in the drama room again with the lights off.” Chaeyoung simply can’t control her damn mouth and gossips to Jennie, who as expected, doesn’t take too long to burst out laughing. My imbecile sister accompanies my idiot best friend as they both laugh like idiots.

Who needs enemies when you have these two in your life?

“How many times did she do that this week?” I just listened to the two of them as they mocked and laughed while I tried to get that sticky sauce off my hands. “I think it was seven times.”

“Actually, it was eight, with today.” Chaeyoung answered, and that made them burst out laughing again.

I wasn’t in the mood to get even angrier; I had reached my quota of stress with that idiot Manoban. Today was just another one of countless days where she made my life a living hell; it wasn’t out of the ordinary. At least this week was the last week of classes before summer break, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. Fortunately for me, after a few more minutes the subject between those two changed focus completely when the basketball team walked into the cafeteria. It was automatic; whenever they showed up, Tweedledee and Tweedledum started to hyperventilate.
I don’t need nor want to hear about those troglodytes’ muscles, and which one has the perkiest butt. I don’t need this right now.

“Aww… Look at her. Jisoo manages to look more beautiful with every passing day.”

And she is everyone: the fool in love. Jennie Kim herself. Yes, she’s been completely in love with that girl since… I’m not sure, fifth grade maybe?

Kim Jisoo Manoban, the golden girl. The best point guard in our high school and an exemplary student. Yes, she’s Lalisa Manoban’s older sister, and she’s about to go to college after the end of summer. And that is killing my best friend. She’s a nice girl, friendly, charming and she’s always helping others, that’s why she’s so popular. The complete opposite of her younger sister. Many girls and boys suffer for her, and Jennie is one of them. I can’t understand why, because they know each other, but they have never had anything besides a ‘friendship’.
