"Kamukha mo si Argentina... Noong siya ay bata pa," Chewy sang right next to the statue of a little monkey, all while strumming his guitar. With feelings pa ang boses niya sabay sulyap sa mukha ng unggoy. "At ang galing galing mong, sumay--aaa!"
Kumaripas si Chewy ng takbo nang hinabol siya ni Argentina na armado ng isang barbecue stick. Tumalon si Chewy sa pool, pero sinundan pa rin siya ni Argentina. Next thing we know, nilulunod na siya nito.
"Hoy, sige na! Focus!" sita ni Goose sa akin sabay hampas ng tubig patungo sa mukha ko.
"Ano ba! Pumapasok sa ilong ko!" Sinabuyan ko rin siya ng tubig sa mukha.
Goose splashed more water to face kaya naman sinakyan ko siya sa likod at pabirong nilunod pailalim sa tubig. He squirmed and kicked around, but I could hear him laughing. Eventually, he was able to pull me under, kaya ako naman ay sinasakyan at nilulublob niya pailalim.
Next thing I know, Izzy was pulling my head above the water while pushing Goose away from me. She was yelling, but Goose and I were still laughing and splashing water to each other's faces.
"Ano ba kayo! College na ba talaga kayo?!" Izzy sounded annoyed and alarmed, but kahit siya rin naman ay tawa nang tawa.
"Lunurin din natin si Izzy?" I grinned at Goose.
Goose nodded, smiling with an open mouth.
"Hoy hindi! Huwag!" Before Izzy could even swim away from us, sabay kaming tumalon patungo sa kanya at ginawa siyang salbabida. Pare-pareho kaming lumubog patungo sa ilalim nang tubig at umahon na tawa nang tawa.
"Guys! Ang una makasalo ng coin, may premyo!" We all looked up to see Argentina standing by the pool steps. The coin in her hand sparkled like the sun.
Hinanap ng paningin ko si Chewy at nakita ko siyang nakadapa sa sahig, basang-basa at hindi gumagalaw.
"Kung maunahan ko kayo, kayo ang magbibigay sa akin ng premyo!" Argentina said and threw the coin to the pool. She jumped to the water kaya pare-pareho na rin kaming sumisid.
Bigla akong nakaramdam ng gutom kaya tumigil muna ako sa pagsisid. Umalis ako sa pool at hindi na nag-abalang magsuot pa ng robe tutal naka shorts at t-shirt naman ako. Besides, I've been swimming for years. Hindi na ako masyadong tinatablan ng lamig ng pool water.
Kukuha sana ako ng hotdog at marshmallow mula sa pinya, pero bigla kong naamoy ang barbecue na niluluto ni Cyprus.
I quickly ran towards him, tiptoeing a little because some parts of the floor felt hot from the sun.
