Nagising ako nang may ngiti sa mukha kahit pa sobrang sakit ng ulo ko. Sariwang-sariwa pa sa isip ko ang mga nangyari kagabi, sa pagitan nina Ate Silver at Kuya Jethro. Akala ko magiging malungkot lang ako buong gabi, but I was wrong. Still, it would've been better if my friends were there. Although I understand their reasons for not coming.
Argentina and Cyprus had to go back to their hometown because Argentina's grandfather, Cyprus' father, needed to go to the hospital. Chewy was attending a band audition. Meanwhile, Goose and Izzy admitted that they're not comfortable attending the party with just the two of them, especially Izzy who still gets panic attacks every time she comes to a loud or crowded place—I'd be lying if I say that I didn't feel sad about not having them around on my birthday. However, I totally understand where they're coming from. Kung sino-sino rin naman kasi ang inimbita ni mommy at daddy para sa birthday ko, sinali pa ang mga anak ng current at potential business partners nila. Kung wala lang doon ang mga kamag-anak ko, pati na ang mga kaibigan ni kuya, baka nagmukha lang 'yong networking event.
Naupo ako at napatingin sa repleksyon ko sa salamin. Napakagulo ng buhok ko at may natitira pang kolorete sa mukha ko. I think I even forgot to remove one of my falsies.
"Awww. . . My first hangover!"
Natawa ako nang marinig ang namamaos kong boses. Sa sobrang gulo namin kagabi, at least paos lang ang tinamo ko, hindi kagaya ni Sawyer na naahitan talaga ng kilay dahil natalo siya sa pustahan. Bakit ba kasi siya pumusta na hinding-hindi magkakagusto si Kuya Jethro kay Ate Silver? He clearly underestimated Kuya Jethro's ability to love.
"Oh my God! Ang kilay ni Sawyer!" Napatayo ako sa gulat nang tuluyang rumehistro sa isip ko kung gaano kalala ang mga nangyari.
They couldn't find a blade or a shaver, gunting lang! Haji and Magno basically pinned Sawyer to the wall as Kuya Lorenzo cut off his eyebrows with scissors! Sawyer was basically screaming for his life, but we were too drunk to even care. Tawa lang kami nang tawa. Meanwhile Kuya Jethro and Ate Silver, who were supposed to be our voice of reason, didn't do anything kasi super awkward at hiyang-hiya sila sa isa't isa to even care for Sawyer's eyebrows!
This isn't the first time Sawyer lost his precious eyebrows! Naalala ko noong mga bata pa kami, sa sobrang kulit niya ay nagalit ang yaya niya kaya hayun! Inahit ang kilay niya! The Yaya knew she was going to get fired, but she still did it to get back at Sawyer!
That incident lead to Sawyer getting bullied! Even Kuya and the rest of the guys bullied him for it! I think sina Kuya Jethro at Kuya Apollo lang talaga ang hindi nangutya sa kanya noon.
"I have to do something!" I quickly ran towards my make-up box and gathered everything that I would need. Dali-dali akong tumakbo palabas ng silid, pero natigilan nang maalalang wala pa nga pala akong ligo o sipilyo man lang.
"Right after I fix myself." I sighed and ran back to my room.

"Joana? What a surprise, Hija!" Sawyer's mom's face lit up as I entered their house. Mabilis siyang lumapit at humalik sa pisngi ko.
