Chapter 2: First Day of School

Present Day
"Wake up!" Catalina felt someone smacking her face with a pillow.

"Leave me alone", she groaned.

"No, mom told me to wake you up for school." It was Roman waking up her sister. Catalina did not like early mornings she also didn't like people waking her up early in the morning. Come on Catalina it's our first day of school. "We're gonna be late because of you."

"Like you care."

"I don't but Shelley does." That made Catalina get up from her bed. Her younger sister was passionate about learning and books. It was nice that someone in this family actually cared about those things.

"I'm up. Happy."

"Yeah", he smiled. "Get ready quickly so we can eat breakfast." Her brother left the room leaving her by herself. She went to the bathroom did her things. After she finished what she had to do in the bathroom, Catalina headed towards her walking closet. She picked out some cute clothes since it was her first day in junior year of high school. Catalina didn't need to wear makeup since she was naturally beautiful. Girls were jealous of her and guys wanted to date her. She had this aurora that made you stop what you were doing just to stare at her.  Catalina grabbed her lipgloss placed it in her backpack took her backpack and headed downstairs to the kitchen

"Good morning, darling", her mom spoke.

"Good morning mother", Catalina replied as she sat down. She was between Roman and Shelley.

"Ready for you're first day children?" Roman nodded, Shelley typed down yes while smiling and Catalina answered yes. They ate their cereal and toast and headed to school. When the door at school opened everyone looked at the trio. Catalina was in between Roman and Shelley making her look smaller. They stared at them which made Catalina feel slightly uncomfortable.

"Why didn't mother put us in private school."she mumbled to Roman.

"Because there isn't one in this fucking town", he mumbled back to her.

"Well, she should've built one for us or got us a private tutor at home."

"If she did got us a private tutor none of us would be paying attention except for Shelley", he chuckled. "Look there's a new kid. People are saying that he's a werewolf. Dumbasses." Catalina approached the new kid. "What are you doing?"

"Hello and welcome to Hemlock Grove", she smiled at the boy.

"Thanks", he looked kind of confused.

"I'm Catalina Godfrey. This is Roman Godfrey, my brother, and that beautiful girl next to him is my sister, Shelley Godfrey." Shelley shyly waved hi at him.

"Peter Rumancek." He introduced. There was a moment of silence then Peter spoke again, "This is getting awkward. I'm just gonna go."Peter left feeling uncomfortable.

"What the hell was that for?" Roman asked annoyed.

"I just wanted him feel at home."

"He's a gypsy he's just gonna move again", Roman joked.

"Shut it."

"Fine", he was still chuckling. The bell rang and it was time for the trio to separate and go to class. Catalina applied lipgloss as she waited for her teacher to start class. She was thinking about the new kid. He was kinda cute. Already in the first day of school, Catalina spotted Roman flirting with girls. She rolled her eyes at the sight.

"Hey shorty", Catalina knew that voice.

"Letha!" She hugged her cousin. "How was you're summer?"

"Pretty decent and yours."

"It was good."

"Did you see the new kid? He's kinda cute."

"I agree." They both giggled. After school ended their mom picked the trio up and headed home. Olivia asked how their day was. She received different answers but all were positive which made her satisfied.

"I need to go to the white tower for a meeting. Behave all of you, especially you Roman." Their mom dropped them off at home and drove away to work.

"Alright I'm heading to town to see Kaitlyn."

"Who's Kaitlyn?" I thought you were with Victoria.

"That whore was messing around with other guys."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's fine besides Kaitlyn is better under the sheet", he grinned.

"Gross Roman I don't want to hear about your sex life." He laughed at his sister's comment.

"See you guys later", he kissed both of his sisters forehead and left on his red car. The two sisters spent time with each other while they waited for their brother and mother to arrive back home.
