Rowan Pov:
Sabrina and I start walking to In & Out.
"Who else is going to be here?" I ask
"Just Bradley."
"So that means it's a double date." she tells me, raising her eyebrows.
I punch her.
"No it's just a couple of friends hanging out."
"Right."

We get to In & Out and Bradley and Peyton are already in line. We walk in and Sab runs up to Bradley and they kiss. Peyton and I just stand there awkwardly, not making eye contact. Then they put there arms around each other and stare at us. I clear my throat.
"Well then, lets order."

We take our seats and I sit by Sabrina, a crossed from Peyton. We all talk and eat, (my smoothie. Bleh, Bleh I say) and once we are all finished, Sabrina and Bradley start to get up.
"We are going to Bradley's house. You two stay here and have fun."
"But-" I start but Sabrina cut me off.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning Rowan."
"Um okay."
They leave and I turn to Peyton.
"So." He tells me.
"So." I mimic back.
"Um how has your first day out of coma been?"
I laugh.
"It's been pretty good."
He paused.
"You look different."
I rose my eyebrows.
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Er- No! Not at all! You look great!"
I laugh.
"Well you look good to."
He smiled at me.
"Thanks."
Suddenly silence erupted between us. Why was it so awkward between us all of the sudden?
I let out a deep sigh and took out my phone.
"Whatta you doing?" He asked me.
"Twitter."
"Are you done?"
"Done with what?"
"Done talking to me."
"Um no."
I shut off my phone and looked at him.
He stared at me.
"Do you still like me Rowan?"
Great.
"Um do you mean like, like like you?"
"Yes." he says unsure.
I look at my feet.
"It complicated."
"Oh." I don't know what he does next because I don't want to make eye contact.
"I mean I love hanging out with you, but I just got out of a coma and-"
"I get it Rowan, I shouldn't have brought it up. Lets just go."
He gets up and starts walking and I follow him out of the door.
"No don't get me wrong Peyton," I say, putting my hand on his shoulder. "I really like you but I just dont, well-"
"You don't love me like you used too."
I sigh.
"Yeah."
He awkwardly smiles at me.
"But I do want to hang out with you. Get to know the eighteen year old Peyton a little better?"
He laughs.
"I'd love to get to know the fifteen year old Rowan a little better."
I take his hand and he leads me to his car.

Were in his car and I feel really awkward again. I decide to turn on the radio and a dirty rap song starts playing.
"Haha okay." I say as I turn the volume all the way down and we sit in silence again. I pull out my phone and go on Instagram.
"You're still addicted."
"Hm?"
"After two years you're still addicted to your phone."
I giggle.
"Are I-Phone 6's still hip?"
He stifles a laugh.
"No, it's the I-Phone 8s now."
"Oh man."
He took his phone out of his pocket and handed it to me. It was just a little bit bigger but was way prettier. I unlocked it and looked at his apps.
He quickly looks at me then back at the road.
"Um what are you doing?"
"I want to see the selfie quality."
"Wow."
"It's important!"

I take a couple of selfies and hand his phone back to him when he pulls into my driveway.
"Thank you Peyton."
"Anytime. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Defiantly." I hug him an feel his warmth against my body. I let go and run up to my front door. Before I go in, I turn around and wave goodbye to him. He waves back and I can feel him staring at me all the way until I close the door.

I walk in and my mom and dad are in the kitchen, and my brother and sister are sitting on the couch.
"Hi guys!"
I walk into the kitchen and see my dog Winston sitting on the floor. I haven't seen him since I woke up.
"Winston! I've missed you!"
I get on my hands and knees and crawl towards him. He quickly got up and started to smell me. I reach out to pet him and he shrieks while jumping back.
"Winston?"
He ran away from me and hid behind the couch. My siblings are staring at me like I'm a monster. I turn to my mom and dad and they exchange worried looks.
"Um, he probably just doesn't remember you!" My dad says, trying to reassure me.
"Yeah!" My mom says.
"No guys that was different. He was literally afraid of me. Like I was a monster."
"You're just over exaggerating it." My mom quickly said and my dad nodded.
I stared at them hard.
"Do you guys know something?"
"No honey, were just trying to get you back to normal."
"Okayyy..."
There was an awkward silence.
"I'm going to go to my room."
"Okay, be careful."
I slant my eyebrows.
"Uh, I'm just going to my room."
"I know."
I just stared at her.
"Oh I need to go shave too."
"NO!" My mom shouted at me.
"Why? What it going on?"
"You could cut yourself!"
"Why are you being so overprotective?"
She looks at my dad for help.
"You just can't rowan, it's hard to explain."
"Right." I say sarcastically.

I run up to my room and lay on my bed. Thinking about what happened downstairs. I just don't understand why they won't tell me what's going on, and I makes me so angry.
I hear a knock on my door.
"It's Carmen."
"Come in."
She walks in and sits in my chair.
"What's up?" I ask.
"What's wrong with mom and dad?"
"I don't know."
Then an idea pops in my head.
"Wait Carmen, it's Friday right?"
"Yeah."
"You want to have an all nighter in my room to figure out what's going on?"
"I'll go ask mom!"
"Great!"
I hope this plan works.
