Headcanon: Being the Only Girl in an Idol Group (Male!Aqours)

A/N: So,, this is kinda the sequel to the previous headcanon I did—this one's in the same universe as the other one.  This is a Idol!AU in which the Love Live characters are not school idols—just plain idols.

• you were a big fan of Muse
• like rlly big
• you had all the merch
• knew all the dances
• knew all the songs
• you attended all the concerts
• had hardcore ships
• the basic works
• your fav song was & still is Aphrodite
• so,,
• naturally, you auditioned for Snowflake Entertainment
• with Aphrodite
• and somehow
• got in
• yay
• you were around 10 at the time
• yes, very very young
• they said you had the right look
• the dancing part could use some work tho
• well
• whatever that meant
• its ok cs YAY you were gnna be an idol
• fast forward five yrs later
• you're 15
• and you've certainly grown
• A LOT
• like ur about 5'8-5'9ish
• and it's a disaster
• you know that myth about tall people having two left feet
• for you, this is no myth
• it's gotten to the point where the trainers are like
• "jst be a model"
• and ur like "nO I WANT TO PERFORM"
• and then trip over yourself the next minute
• ok so maybe it's not THAT bad
• you can dance its just
• a little more difficult for you
• cus you just keep growing
• and you're not used to it
• when you feel extra discouraged you go online and watch Muse videos to remind yourself why you joined the company in the first place
• at this point in time, Muse is well into their music career (about 7 years so present year is around 2017)
• you find yourself connecting especially with the sole female member, (let's call her Sumi for the sake of the headcanon) Sumi
• she's so sexy and cool and so great at dancing
• while you have been told that you have a naturally sexy, chic look
• your personality is too naïve and goofy and loud
• you hope that you somehow grow into being more mature like Sumi
• (you dont-)
• your goals may be up there but hey
• at least you have goals
• so you continue to go through the motions
• until one day
• your company has requested you into a new project
• and you're excited because it's a co-ed group like Muse!
• it's called the "Aqua Project" and you're SUPER PUMPED
• that is, until you have to meet the other members
• yes, you were told beforehand that you'd be the only female member
• (just like Sumi-san YES-)
• but the reality hadn't hit you until now
• becuz
• you've never rlly had friends??
• like,, you became a trainee at a very young age
• and had to do homeschool cuz of it
• you mostly hung out with your cousins and stuff
• yknow family members
• not to mention, you were an only child
• you realize then that, of the five years at the company, you hadn't made a single friend
• unless the trainers counted
• you were too focused on becoming an idol that
• you kinda forgot to socialize
• whoops-
• so the first impression you gave off was rlly standoffish
• the boys (did you mention there was nine—omg you feel like Muse HOW COOL IS THAT—) all thought you were stone-cold
• not to mention, you were so tall??
• you were taller than only a couple of them but your stance was INTIMIDATING
• thus came the nickname "Ice Princess"
• which you immediately hated
• but you couldnt say anything cuz you were so shY
• it took you a whole week to even say anything
• and when you did

• Chikato Takami, designated leader of ur little group, was the first to speak to you
• he's the one who rlly pushed you out of your shell
• so you were able to get comfortable with the others in a month's time
• you find yourself becoming especially close with the gag trio—which consisted of chikato and two others, Yoshito "Yohane" Tsushima and Mario Ohara
• the gag trio becomes a quartet
• with you as the baby
• did you mention that you were the youngest?
• everyone was blown away
• ANYWAYS
• enough about trainee period
• a year of practice is all it took
• until your group's debut on January 7th, 2018
• with the single "Wave"
• your group was called "Aqours"
• your main concept was basically "Atlantis"-esque type of stuff
• like y'all were basically mermen and mermaid
• underwater stuff bro
• and honestlyyy
• y'all did ok in the beginning
• but the comebacks afterwards didn't do very well
• A LOT of people were comparing yall to Muse
• while it was true that there were other co-ed groups
• none had the "lone female member" like yall did
• but before we get deeper into that shtuff

• Chikato (stage name: Chika) Takami: lead vocalist, center
• Rikuo Sakurauchi: main vocalist, lyricist, composer, visual
• Yoshito (stage name: Yohane) Tsushima: lead rapper, lead vocalist, lead dancer, face of the group
• Rui Kurosawa: lead dancer, vocalist
• Harunobu Kunikida: lead vocalist, visual
• you: youngest (15 going on 16 at the time of debut), lead vocalist, lead rapper, visual
• ok so now that that's been established
• your debut year was ROUGH
• like, to the point where the company was thinking about starting over again fresh
• yknow taking some members out, putting them on another project with new concepts
• but yall were like nO
• we kinda fam fam now
• but it was still hard
• people jst kinda found a lot of things to shit on
• becus the industry was a lot different than it was back when Muse debuted in 2010
• the dances, vocals, raps were all more demanding
• and yall were apparently "too extra"
• you probably got the most shit tho
• it was a trend to say that you were stuckup and immature
• bt this was because you had a hard time expressing yourself on camera and in front of so many faces

• if it wasnt ur "bitchy" personality, it was your talent

• the dorm overflows with tears

• there's still the occasional hate comments
