"Are you almost ready?" Dalton came into my office to ask
"One second" I said
He nodded as he leaned on my door frame. I finish uploading some pictures to the Aaron Kirman website before I stood up
"Alright" I said
"We don't have to go to that dinner tonight, I can tell my mom-" Dalton spoke, but I cut him off
"No, it's fine. I've been wanting a Gomez dinner for a while now" I said
"Are you sure?" He asked
"Positive" I spoke
"You know who else is going to be there?" He asked
"Who?" I asked
I watched a big smile form on his face
"Tell meeee" I sang
"Fine, fine" he spoke
He took a dramatic pause
"Dude, come on" I said
"Your mom and Shawn!" He cheered
My mouth hung open. The last time I checked, my mom was in New York got a business trip and Shawn has finals this week for college
"Close your mouth" he laughed
"My mom didn't say anything" I said
"She just got here thats why. Like she literally just landed two hours ago" Dalton spoke
"Shawn didn't say anything" I said
"Oh my god y/n, it was supposed to be a surprise. So act surprised when you see them" Dalton said
I nodded with a laugh
"So let's go, we're already five minutes late" he said
"You're kidding. I can't even change my clothes?" I asked
"No" he said
I pouted
"You look.. fine" he made a yikes face
"Dalton" I said rolling my eyes
"I'm kidding" he laughed

"We're here!" Dalton called out as he opened the front door to his parents house
"Dalton, hi" his mom hugged and greeted him first
"Y/n, darling" she said as she pulled away from Dalton
"Hi Verna" I greeted her and hugged her
We shred a quick hug before Daltons dad came in and greeted us as well
"Hey kids" he smiled
"Hey Hector" I smiled
"Is that my daughter I hear?" I heard my moms all too familiar voice
Just then, she walked in and opened her arms for me to walk into
"Mom" I smiled as I hugged her tight
"Why didn't you say you were back" I said into the hug
"It was supposed to be a surprise" she said
I pulled away from the hug and she held my face in her hands
"Come on, Shawn is in the kitchen" she said
I nodded and followed her and the Gomez family to their kitchen
