Y/n POV
"Good morning, y/n" Kelly smiled as I walked through the double glass doors
"Good morning Kels" I smiled back
"How was your weekend?" She asked me
"It was good. Just stayed home" I replied
"Sounds relaxing" she responded
"How was yours?" I asked with a nod
"It was good. Tim and I went on a little date" she told me
"Whoa! Back it up. Who's Tim?" I asked
"My boyfriend" she replied
"I thought you were with uh.. shit what was his name?" I asked
"He cheated on me" she replied not even mentioning his name
"Holy shit, I'm sorry" I said
She shrugged before she spoke
"No worries. He was kind of an asshole anyways" she said
I nodded agreeing with her. despite only meeting him a few times
"I thought I told you about Tim?" She questioned
"You definitely did not. I would've remembered" I said
"Damn, I'm sorry. I'll have to catch you up" she told me
"Please do. Maybe we can go to lunch together today?" I suggested
"I would like that" she smiled
"Perfect" I tapped her desk before walking to the elevators
Once I made it to my floor, I unlocked my office and saw flowers sitting on my desk. I pulled a confused face as I looked for a card. Once I found it, I read it and saw they were from a family who I sold a house to a few weeks ago
"They're a sweet family aren't they?" Aarons voice was heard from my doorframe
"Very sweet" I agreed
"And they're very beautiful flowers" he added
I nodded before he began walking away
I sighed as I sat down in my chair and began typing a 'thank you' email to the family as well as responding to a few others. Once I was done with that, I began to check my voicemail as I noticed I had twelve of them and thirty missed calls. I listened to each voicemail intently and called those who left them back.

"Are you ready?" I asked Kelly as I walked into the main lobby
"Yup, where are we going?" She asked
"I don't know" I said not really giving the food options much thought
"Do you want to go to this smoothie bar that's down the street? They have food and other stuff" she suggested
"Sounds good" I nodded with a smile
With that we both walked out of the building and to the parking lot. Kelly laced her arm with mine in a friendly gesture
"Who's driving?" She asked
"Me" I replied
"Good because I didn't want to" she shrugged
That caused me to laugh and shake my head as she let go of my arm
