Y/n POV

Ariana didn't come back after she left with Dalton yesterday, which told me that she felt comfortable enough to stay at the her house with him. Although I do hope that they work out the problems in their relationship, I also hope that Ariana didn't let him off the hook easily.

Considering the fact that Ariana left everything here, including her farm, I knew she would be back. As I was putting food into the dogs, and piggy's bowl, my doorbell rang.

"I'll be right back" I told the animals

All they did was begin eating their food

"Good talk" I said walking over to the door.

"Hey Ariana" I smiled as I swung the door open to reveal the shorter girl

"Good morning y/n/n" she smiled

"Y/n/n? That's a new one" I laughed lightly

That's caused Ariana to smile

"I'm assuming you're here for your stuff?" I asked

"Not necessarily" she said

A confused look crossed my face

"Apparently Dalton has to leave again" she said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"He signed a contract with Aaron that basically says Aaron can send him on business trips wherever and whenever" Ariana explained

"And you're fine with this?" I asked

"He did it without even talking to me" she said

"So that's what that was" I said more to myself

"Hm?" Ariana hummed

"Nothing" I tried to brush it off

"No, what?" she asked

I sighed before I spoke

"Aaron called a meeting earlier this morning... at like six and basically everyone was there" I started

"Go on" she said

"Everyone that went on trips was there, everyone that doesn't usually work in office was there. You would think someone was getting fired, but that was actually quite the opposite. Aaron asked if any of the people that went on business trips are willing to sign a two and a half year contract but those that didn't sign the contract were left in the dark on what it said" I continued

"And Dalton jumped at that opportunity. God I can't believe him!" She exclaimed

"I wouldn't say jumped. No one wanted to do it so Aaron went around asking if people who didn't go on any trips want to sign up and a good handful agreed. In fact, I was even going to do it" I added

Ariana's face dropped

"So you're leaving too?" She asked

"Let me finish" I laughed lightly

All she did was nod

"Aaron went over what perks it would come with and what sounded the most pleasing was an opportunity for more pay. Everyone perked up at the sound of that. But then I got to thinking about how disconnected I would feel from everyone, especially you if I signed that almost three year contract" I further explained

"But Dalton just couldn't wait to get away from me even though he just got back" she said with an eye roll

"He actually talked to me about it first. Who am I tell him what to do, so I told him to do what feels right, but after he talks to you. He assured me that he would talk to you" I added
