"As I told you last night I grew up in forester homes since I was little" I started and she looked at me waiting for me to continue
"But I had to confess to you some of it was a lie I know it was wrong but I just couldn't speak the truth last night" I said to her waiting for her to yell at me but she didn't

"Devon you know you can trust me" she said and I smiled at her
"My mother passed away when I was 5 years old from an overdose, and a two years later my father basically drank himself to death he couldn't care less about poor little 7 year old Devon" I took a deep breath and continued
"I was put into forester care but no one ever wanted me, one family even returned me because I wasn't up to their standards they saw me as a wild child as your brother would call me" I laughed but Lila sat closer waiting for me to continue as she saw it was hard for me
"I never told anyone this but in the home I grew up there were a lot of things going on around me by this time I was 13 and I couldn't take the beatings anymore, sometimes they would leave all of us without any food for days so I decided to sneak out and ran away because I had enough of it, I lived on the streets for 2 years, stole as I went by to make a living got far until a lady saw me" by this time a tear fell from my eyes and Lila was looking softly at me she felt what I went through

"Her name was Jessica and she took me in, she clothed me, fed me and gave me a roof over my head I was more than happy in return I helped her work and clean houses as she also was poor but when I turned 17 she passed away of a heart attack and left everything to me, she didn't have any relatives other than me. She left me a few hundred dollars which I was very thankful for and I decided I was going to invest that in business studies which made me open Amaro Weddings and be where I am today, you may think poorly of me but I decided since then I will pursue in everyone's happiness" I finished and she breathed out

"No wonders are the kindest, sweetest person I have ever met" she said shocked and I smiled
"Like I said this was a while back and I am forever thankful for Jessica who took me in, she was the only mother I knew so I try paying it forward" I said to her and she smiled brightly at me
"Here I thought Sebastian and I had it the worst" she huffed out a breath and I laughed
"Well this makes us even now you also know why I'm not easily scared because I had to fend for myself, your brother doesn't know my full story only the bad sides" I said to her and she waved it off
"Let him think what he wants to besides he can be moody all he wants" she dismissed the thought and I smiled
"Tell me you want to go out for lunch?" I asked her and she smiled
"What looking like that?" She pointed at my night clothes which I have completely forgotten about
"I don't think anyone will notice" I lightened the mood and she laughed
"Believe me looking like that everyone will definitely notice" she said

"Okay give me a few minutes, make yourself at home then we can go" I told her and she fell back into the sofa,
"Will do" she took my TV remote and switched on to Netflix while I got myself ready

After a half an hour I came out and she was still watching TV
"I'm done" I told her and she switched it off
"My driver is waiting outside" she said and we made our way to the car, I saw there were a lot more men situated outside but my three men were still there
"My brother wasn't kidding about upping the security" she said pointing to her men standing by and I took my seat after her
"Did he tell you who was behind the whole accident last night?" I asked and she shook her head
"No but he is still looking into it" she said and I wished they would soon find out because it felt a bit uncomfortable

We were sitting in a small restaurant drinking some wine and just chatting about random stuff

"You see what I mean they look so out of the ordinary" she said and looked at the men who was trying to blend in but failed and I laughed
"Maybe we can dress them up so they can look like they actually belong here" she said again which made me laugh even more, people around us also notices them but we didn't care less
"Speaking of dress up are you ready for the dress fittings this Wednesday?" I asked her and she clapped her hands together
"I can't wait there is this cute dress I always wanted to try on since I was little and thought that would be the best place to go first" she said taking a sip of her wine
"You are going to look so beautiful" I said dreamily
