The big day finally arrived and I was excited I made sure Amelia was there with us to let Lila relax for the morning by 10 the makeup and hair arrived but I told Lila I had to go to the venue quick to make sure everything was still on track

When I arrived the people were in full swing with food, flowers and making sure everything was perfect for the day. I helped with the flowers and placed them nearly on the tables, the photo people was busy taking photos as I gave them instructions on what to do, the cake arrived not soon after and I was more than impressed, it was huge but beautiful, a month ago there were a total of 440 people who RSVP and hopefully there weren't uninvited guests.

I made my way back to the house when I entered it was also chaos in there, they were busy with Lila's hair while the makeup people was busy with Linda and Amelia, I was pushed into a chair by another person as they started to do my hair

"So guys the big day has finally arrived" Amelia said and Lila giggled
"I can't believe from where we started and look at where we are now" Lila replied
"My girls big day Giro took me and Mateo to look at the place yesterday and I must say Devon you did an amazing job" Linda said
"Thank you Linda I did it all for Lila and Giro" I replied and we heard awe's
"Here I thought it was your job" Lila gushed
"Actually it was at first but it ended up rather differently" I pointed between me and her, she smiled, we were facing each other so it was better to talk
"So Lila where will you be going for your honeymoon?" Amelia asked when the lady was done with her makeup
"Oh thanks to my mom and dad they paid for the whole trip to Bora Bora" Lila replied and Amelia gushed
"I heard that Bora Bora was so beautiful this time of year-"
"Actually all year around" Linda interrupted
"I think it must be a dream to have a destination wedding hey Devon" Amelia asked me and I looked at her
"That is actually a wedding planner's nightmare but a huge advantage in the end, it is something to experience" I told her and Lila looked at me
"Where was your destination weddings?" she asked and I thought back
"My first destination wedding was in Costa Rica that was a really beautiful place to see then I had one in California, New port and one in a small village I couldn't remember the name of" I replied

"That does sound like an adventure" Linda spoke up
"Yeah but you don't really have time to explore because you are so busy with planning the wedding" I said and they all nodded

It was just before one when we went to go and dress, I had to help Lila with her dress because there was a tricky way to do the zipper we were standing inside the room while everyone also left to go and get dressed
"How are you doing?" I asked her and she looked at me in the mirror
"I am so excited yet scared at the same time" Her honest reply made me smile
"It is normal but just know after today you will be known as Mrs Lila Alehandro" I replied a
"Thank you for doing this with me Devon and thank you for entering my life the way you did I couldn't have done it without you" she said and hugged me
"Like I said always Lila, but now we have to finish" I replied and she nodded

We were finally done, Lila drove in a separate car with her mother while I was in a car with Amelia both of us had the red dresses on which Nona made, our hair was elegantly pinned up with a few loose strands hanging down she looked over at me

"You fit in perfectly Devon" she said
"What do you mean?" I asked and she smiled
"With the family I mean, I am so glad Lila finally found someone to also talk to and Sebastian you guys are amazing together" she laughed
"Oh Sebastian and I are not-"
"Stop fooling yourself I can see the way he looks at you as you do with him, remember people have eyes and when you don't notice, others do" she said and placed her hand on my arm
"You are good in this life and you do him good as well" she assured me
"Are you guys always this kind?" I asked
"Only to the people we like" she replied just as the car to a standstill, we got out while Lila's car stopped after us
