Chapter 26 (Out of my System)

The next day I was sitting in my office and heard a knock on my door I looked up and saw Linda standing there, I stood up and smiled at her walking and giving her a hug

"I am so glad you called" she told me and I told her to take a seat
"It is always nice to see you" I told her honestly
"So you need help?" she asked me and I blew out a breath
"The fact that I am the maid of honour now makes it so much difficult, I am really going to need your help with this bachelorette" I told her while she smiled
"What do you want me to do?" she asked
"As you said we will hold the shower at your house but can you get her out of the house for about say two hours?" I asked her
"I can arrange that I can take her out for those two hours and keep her busy" she said and I smiled
"Thank you, I have arranged for the carters to drop the food when she is out, I will pick up the cake on my way-"
"I already asked a few of the family members to be there tomorrow at 3" she interrupted
"Wow thank you that will mean a lot" I replied I was glad it wasn't just going to be the 4 of us, me Lila, Linda and Amelia God I didn't think that would be a bachelorette
"The rest I will do when I am at the house if that is fine with you?" I asked her and she took my hand over the table

"Is everything okay Devon?" her question took me by surprise but I composed myself quickly
"Just trying to get everything in before the wedding" I replied smiling
"You and I both know that wasn't what I was talking about" she said and I blew out a breath
"Hopefully it will be Linda" I told her and laughed nervously
"Just know my door is always open I consider you part of this family, and I don't care what anyone else says" she said and I squeezed her hand
"Thank you that means so much to me, you guys really are way too nice to be part of the mafia" I told her honestly

"So you have everything that you need, just phone me if there is something you forgot" she told me standing up
"I will but for now we just have to wait for tomorrow" I told her giving her a hug
"I will see you tomorrow dear" she said as she left the office, leaving me back in my own little bubble

I needed to get through this week with no hiccups

Besides what can go wrong, right

By 4 I decided to quickly pop into the place making the name tags and then venue to see how everything was going there, I made my way inside the hotel and walked into the venue, the place looked so beautiful and not even the same as I left it, the red, black and white theme was beautifully decorated everywhere, you couldn't even think it was the same place, the long tables lined a 'U' shape with the dance floor in the front I was more than impressed with the setting and went to the side where they would get married luckily the two rooms was connected and came together

White chairs lined the along the red carpet pathway to the altar in the front red hanging from the walls and I smiled, the place looked really beautiful I looked at the people who were still busy putting up the décor

"It looks beautiful guys" I yelled and they smiled

Well I was more than happy with the outcome so far, I turned and left for home I just wanted to take the time and relax I still had a few things to do before tomorrow.

When I entered my apartment I welcomed the warm feeling of inside, I placed all my belongings on the counter went to the fridge and took out some frozen pizza, opening the box I placed the pizza in the oven, poured myself a glass of wine and kicked off my shoes sitting on my couch just enjoying the peacefulness

About an hour later I ate my pizza and poured myself another glass of wine in the meantime I already drew myself a bath, placed it on the table and stepped out of my clothes, sitting back in the bath I relaxed, my mind drifting back to Sebastian, to think from where we began to where we are now was a wild ride on a rollercoaster
