Chapter 29 (Rehearsal Dinner)

We entered the small restaurant but it was just as beautiful inside as the outside, the hanging lights from the ceilings was beautiful I looked at the back and saw the name

"Domenico's" I said loudly and smiled
"My granddad's place" he said and showed me to where the rest was sitting
"Oh my goodness Nona it is so nice to see you again" I said when she gave me a hug
"Good to see you to dear" she replied
"Nona" Sebastian said the her giving here kisses on both cheeks
"Figlio" she replied and took a seat

I saw Nonno was also there and when he saw me he smiled
"Devon so nice to see you again" he said and gave me a kiss on the cheek when I bend down to his level
"I didn't even know this was your place" I gestured to the restaurant
"Has been it the family for generations" he replied while Sebastian also greeted him

I saw Amelia and her family was also there along with Mateo, Ray and Linda I nodded my heads and them and waved. It was a private setting only the Domenico's filled the place and I could understand the real meaning of close family

"Okay people sistemarsi settle down" Ray announced and everyone went silent, I was sitting next to Sebastian in the corner of the long table and felt his arm rest over the chair I was sitting on, his fingers grazing my shoulder
"As all of you know the big day is Saturday, so sis" Ray looked at Lila
"Even though I am adopted you always treated me like your own brother I just want to wish you on the best journey to being a married woman, may Giro look over you and lift you up when neither me nor Sebastian is there to help you, you found happiness which made the whole family happy en then you found a migliore amico to share your happiness along with Giro" he looked at me as did Lila
"Migliore amico means best mate" Sebastian whispered in my ear and I smiled
"Giro you have been with this family for God knows how long so you better look after my sister otherwise you have Capo to worry about" Ray finished and we all laughed clapping hands

"Hear, hear" we said holding our glasses in the air and I looked up at Sebastian
"Thank you Ray" Lila said giving him a kiss on the cheek
"Say something" I whispered to Sebastian and he looked at me as if I was insane
"Just say something even if it is to be happy Lila would appreciate it" I told him as if realising what I was trying to say he looked at me shaking his head, he cleared his throat and stood up, everyone turned to him looking shocked

"Don't look like you guys just seen a ghost" Sebastian said and we all laughed
"I wasn't going to say anything but I might as well, Lila, giro" he looked at them both
"As all of you know I was against this wedding at first but after that I have excepted it all because of the people around me, so Lila cara dolce sorella we have been together for a long cazzo lungo time and I knew I was hard on you when we were younger, but it made the woman you are today, thank you for sticking with me in the hard times and the best times I wish you the best with Giro but you are still my little cara" Sebastian said and Lila had tears in her eyes
"Grazie brother that means a lot to me" she said and he nodded looking at Giro
"Giro my consigliere I have spoken to you before all of this I also just wish you the best with my sister and as I said before you were my brother form the beginning yet this is only making it official" Sebastian ended and Giro nodded
"Grazie mille Capo" Giro replied and Sebastian held his glass up
"To Lila and Giro" he said
"A Lila e Giro" everyone said back in Italian

Lila came over to Sebastian and looked at him still with tears in her eyes
"Thank you so much brother that meant the world to me coming from you" she said hugging him tightly
"Anything for my sister Lila remember what I said, you will always be my cara dolce sorella" he said to her softly and she smiled then looked at me bending and hugged me
"Thank you for that" she whispered in my ear and I smiled
"You're more than welcome" I replied and she went back to her seat as Sebastian shook hands with Giro, taking his seat next to me again I moved to his ear
