Chapter 19 (Dinner Two)

I felt a coat draped over my shoulders and looked behind me Sebastian was just standing there staring out into the landscape; I didn't know why he had to follow me because I needed to get away from him so I turned to walk back inside

"Thank you" I heard into the silence and turned to him frowning, did he just say thank you?
"For what" I found myself asking still standing in my place as he turned to look at me
"For being there for my sister and making this experience of a lifetime for her" He said and I smiled
"She is the sweetest person I know and I would gladly do it all over again for her" I replied taking a step closer to him
"You make it seem so easy trusting people" he replied
"Not always Sebastian just the people who doesn't do me wrong" I replied

"Just once try and be in your sisters shoes, maybe you can learn a lot from her" I said
"Well this is a first" he said shocked
"What?" I replied
"The first time we are actually having a proper conversation" and I frowned
"Don't ruin the moment" I replied I didn't know what came over me but I stepped closer to him as he watched my every move, I reached to touch his face but he just stood there and closed his eyes, he looked like he wanted to turn his face away from me but before he could do that I raised myself a little and placed a soft kiss on his cheek

I looked back at him, my hand fell to my side I turned and walked back into the house. The rest of the night went by and I was really enjoying myself I have seen Sebastian here and there but I didn't mind. Lila made sure I have almost met everyone at the party and Ray held me up to another dance a faster pace one, we all were laughing, dancing and being silly

I excused myself to go to the restroom while I did my business I walked over to the mirror and looked at my reflection

My makeup was a little lighter now with all the dancing and walking I put on a little lipstick and heard the door of the bathroom open, a beautiful woman walked in and smiled at me

"You're Devon right?" she asked me and stood next to me looking herself over in the mirror, my eyes found hers in the reflection
"Yes I am and you are?" I replied and she smiled more
"Oh sorry Lila's cousin Amelia" she held out her hand to me as I shook it
"Nice to meet you" I replied
"Can I please just say one thing?" she said and I turned to her
"Yeah sure" I urged her
"Be careful around here "she smiled at me and left the bathroom, I didn't know if I should be scared, irritated or take it as a warning but I knew what she meant with the mafia and all it wasn't something new and I know how to look after myself

I made my way back to the party that was still in full swing and took another glass of champagne while chatting with a few guests

Turned out they all knew who I was the minute I stepped into the room, and I was thankful to get more business from tonight. A lot of women asked me for my number in case they needed weddings arranged which I gave gladly

The night came to a close as I wished everyone a good night and made my way back home, once I was safely back in my apartment I took off my shoes and climbed out of the dress making my way to the shower, getting myself ready for bed I climbed under the covers and let sleep come with one thing on my mind the small kiss to Sebastian's cheek made me smile

The next day I made my way to the venue where the wedding would take place, Lila said she will meet me there to organise where everyone would sit and I had to show her how the tables was seated, upon my arrival the manager greeted me with a smile and I walked to the room

Placing all my papers on the table I yelled to the two men in suits to come and help me move the tables they gladly helped it was weird that after a month and a half I had grown used to them being around the corner, while we still pulled the tables together Lila came into the room
