A 2nd chance at childhood part 7

Damn! 3 times in one week. I'm on a roll! Lol also, this chapter made itself. This wasn't planned at all so if you don't like, that's fair. Idk how I feel about the direction it took. Enjoy :)

Catra wasn't sure what to make of the princesses. They were very colorful and bright. Adora said they were nice, but Catra was still too scared to trust them. So she stuck with Adora, hiding behind her legs. Melog stood by Catra to offer encouragement and reassure her.

"She's so tiny and pudgy." Scorpia squealed, keeping her voice down. "She must be so cuddly and soft."

Catra watched Scorpia from her hiding spot. She noticed the pincers and stinger which caught her attention. None of the other princesses had one. They all looked normal. So seeing Scorpia made Catra want to talk to her. Catra tugged on Adora's pants to get her attention. Adora looked at her and knelt down to her level.

Catra leaned in closer to whisper.

"She has a tail too." Catra whispered, pointing at Scorpia. "She's like me."

Adora smiled.

"Yeah. She does. Do you want to say hi? She's really nice and gives great big hugs."

Catra hesitantly nodded. Adora looked over at Scorpia.

"Scorpia. Catra wants to meet you." She called.

Scorpia excitedly came over to the two. She crouched down to make herself smaller. She smiled at Catra.

"Hey, Wildcat. My name's Scorpia."

Catra's eyes wandered curiously to Scorpia's exoskeleton. Scorpia noticed.

"Oh! Yeah, I'm a scorpion hybrid. Just like my moms."

Catra smiled a little.

"You have a tail too. I have one!"

Catra took hold of her own tail and showed it to Scorpia. Scorpia giggled.

"I see! Wow. That's so cool."

Catra relaxed the more they talked. She subconsciously inched closer to the princess. She wrung her tail with her hands.

"Can I touch your arm?" She asked. "Please."

Scorpia gladly allowed her to feel her exoskeleton. Catra was fascinated, running her hand over Scorpia's pincer.

"Wow. It's like metal." She commented.

Scorpia laughed.

"Yeah. It's very hard. It keeps me protected."

They warned Catra about the stinger, instructing her to not touch it. Catra nodded in understanding.

"You're really cool." She told Scorpia. "You're really tall, too. Can we be friends?"

Scorpia gasped in surprise.

"Yeah. We can be best friends. I love that idea. We can play together and stuff. This is going to be fun. Oh I want you to meet Perfuma."

Scorpia waved Perfuma over. Catra took a step back. Perfuma seemed to float over there, crouching down like Scorpia was doing. She smiled kindly at Catra, waving.

"Hi. I'm Perfuma."

The first thing Catra noticed were the flowers in Perfuma's hair.

"Oooh! Pretty flowers."

Perfuma giggled.

"Yeah. I'm a princess and my magic can make flowers. Wanna see?"

Catra nodded, grabbing Adora's hand again. Perfuma cupped her hands together and with a soft green glow made a red flower bloom. Catra ooh'd, fascinated.
