Zane's POV:
I ran like a mad bull, not having any the slightest conscientious or care of the surrounding as soon as I arrived at the hospital.
I received a call from Zach na nasa ospital siya with Claire, that Shane is in danger. Didn't even bother to let him finish his sentences and ran off like crazy, I even almost crashed my car.
I'm already panicking, I'm breathing so heavily.
Napahinto ako sa pagtakbo nang mahagilap ng mga mata ko si Zach na nakatayo 'di kalayuan sa nakabukas na pintuan ng ER, nakaharap sa pader habang nakamudmud ang mukha sa sariling mga kamay.
Nilapitan ko siya, I tapped his shoulder at agad siyang napatingin sa akin.
His eyes is full of anguish and laments that my heart started to go off wildly.
I can't even open my mouth and asks him where Shane is, it was hard but I did.
"S-si Shane?", nakatingin ng maigi sa mga mata niyang tanong ko.
He looked down and pointed the emergency room kung saan nakabukas ang pintuan nito saka siya napatakip ulit ng mukha.
My feet feel so light that I can't walk properly, nagtungo ako sa loob ng ER and then there I saw Claire crying inside while hugging a body laid in a hospital bed.
"Claire.", tawag ko sa pangalan niya.
Huminto ang paghagulhol niya nang marinig ang boses ko, she slowly looked over her right shoulder; not trying to meet my eyes.
"Anong nangyari?", tanong ko.
Pinunasan niya ang magkabilang pisngi niya saka ako nilingon, dahilan para makita ko si Shane na nakahiga sa hospital bed.
Her body is covered with a long white cloth except for her face, her face is covered with blood and bruises. Her eyes are closed.
I held my breathe as I walk towards her.
"What the fck is the doctors doing at this time? Ba't walang umaasikaso kay Shane?!", I can feel my insides shiver as I took her cold hand.
No... No, this can't be... Not Shane... No.
"Why isn't she breathing, Claire? W-why..."
Claire fell on the ground with her face covered by her own hands as she started wailing.
Nanginginig ang mga kamay ko nang hawakan ko ang mukha ng anak ko.
I gritted my teeth and hugged her at doon tumulo ang mga luha ko.
This body I'm hugging right now is not my real child, but for the past 5 years, she means the whole world to me.
Hugging her lifeless body just means my world has shattered.
Third Person's POV:
*2 weeks after*
"Claire, kumain ka muna. Kahit konti lang.", inabutan ni Zach ng pagkain si Claire na siya mismo nagluto.
2 weeks after the doctor announced na Shane was dead on arrival, it was both hard for Zane and Claire. They both just lost a child that means the whole world to them.
Inilibing agad si Shane a week ago. 'Yong taong nag-hit and run kay Shane ay agad rin naman natagpuan at kinulong. Zane showed no mercy at umalis rin ito sa bahay kung saan kasama niya ang Ama at pangalawang Ina pagkatapos ilibing ni Shane.
Claire on the other hand had nowhere to go kaya she's living sa condo ni Zach as of the moment, hindi siya maiwan ng iilang minuto ni Zach kasi natatakot ang binata sa gagawin nito sa sarili, because there's no amount of pain that any word can describe to a mother who has lost her child.
