[kaneki panting slightly]

Sasuke was wrapped in Kaneki's kagune as He looked around for a place to hide away until they recovered

"Hey kaneki," Sasuke said when the boy nodded showing the other he was listening "there's an old building three blocks back...it would give us time for rin to heal and you to catch your breath"

"Is it safe?" Kaneki asked

"Well we won't know until we check right" rin chuckled as kaneki nodded and started to run back

Kaneki placed Sasuke down as they neared the building, kaneki keeping rin over his shoulder while they walked cautiously behind Sasuke

"Looks clear...come on," Sasuke said as they walked in and took a corner by the window to avoid people spotting them from outside

"Help me lay him down," kaneki said when Sasuke grabbed Rins arm slightly and helped him sit down against the wall

"Ah-" rin let out as he laid back on the wall, Sasuke sitting next to him shortly after as they sighed

Kaneki walked off looking around the abandoned building for anything to help the group with their injuries

Sasuke looked over at rin after hearing a staggered breath coming from him as he lifted rins shirt examining the wound

"How's it look?" Kaneki asked as he walked back in with bandages and towels

"It's starting to heal...it's going to be another scar unless his healing kicks in," Sasuke said and snarled slightly

"Are those suppressors going to wear off by the time we have to fight?" Kaneki asked as he removed Rins shirt completely revealing the many scars that piled up during the time of the absent healing and started to clean off the blood surrounding his wound

"I don't know depends on how many injections they did" Sasuke sighed "do you know how many times they injected you rin?" He asked the boy who stared at the two absentmindedly

"No...I lost count after 3" rin sighed "it was kinda hard to keep track after having your mind goes hazy" he laughed only for the two to glare at the careless boy "I'm fine" rin laughed staring at the two who only looked back at him unbelievably

"as you're bleeding out on the floor," Sasuke said as kaneki started to wrap the bandage around Rins torso working his way up

"Either way it's going to wear off at some point" rin laughed

"What if it doesn't...what if it's side effects aren't gone when we have to go to war and you get injured again" Sasuke snarled "or worse what if your current injury isn't healed when the war starts"

"That isn't a problem...the CCG groups were all knocked out so communication was probably fried from the lightning as well...it would take hours for them to find out what happened and another couple of hours to retrieve and treat the remaining injured" kaneki said

"See I'll be fine" rin said

"For now" Sasuke sighed as he leaned back against the wall
