Clash on the bridge

"Ara ara.... it seems that my guess was right after all."

"Guess? What guess?" Tazuna was confused at Kakashi sensei's sentence.

"That guy with the mask.."

"Hah?!" "I knew it... heh!"

"I noticed it the moment they appeared.." I muttered under my breath.

"So the elite shinobi of the hidden mist thing was a big fat lie!"

"No matter how you look at him, he's gotta be a comrade of Zabuza. Standing together with him and all...."

"Tch, and to think we believed his act and let him get away." I clicked my tongue.

"How dare he show up like that after what he did!"

"I hate brats who think they're so cool..." "He's better than you Kakashi sensei.." "Oh really?"

Sasuke interrupted us talking smack of that Haku boy, "I'll do it."

"Huh?" "Do what, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura and I were both confused.

"With his bad acting... I hate brats who thinks they're so cool!" Sasuke told us coolly as Sakura gushed over him "You're so cool Sasuke-kun!"

Eh... I wonder if Sasuke thinks himself as a cool person, if he does that'll be pretty contradictory.

Instead of saying that I asked, "Want me to back you up?" "Hmph, there shouldn't be a need to. But if it ever happens, sure."

When the both of them first made their appearance, they talked loud enough for us to hear. But now, they were talking to each other softly to prevent us from hearing. I can tell as I can see some movement under those bandages that Zabuza wrapped around his face.

Haku made the first move. Instead of disappearing like how every shinobi does, Haku started to spin. He was spinning himself like a human top, or a human tornado that even Sasuke was taken aback.

"Nani?!" He planted his feet firmly on the ground and took out another kunai, now holding a kunai in each hand.

I didn't even notice when Haku had already striked, I was too focused on that spin that it was making me feel dizzy.

But Sasuke did and he defended himself with his kunai. The both of them went back and forth, pushing each other to back up, not giving in to the other.

"Sakura, stay next to Tazuna and don't leave my side. We'll let Sasuke and Akiko handle him." Kakashi sensei looked towards me for confirmation and I nodded.

"Okay." I focused on the battle in front of me, readying myself to attack when Sasuke needed help.

It's going to be hard to find an opening since the both of them are attacking and blocking so quickly. Ugh....

"I don't want to have to kill you.... I'd like for you to back down."

"Don't be foolish."

"I knew it... but you won't be able to keep up with my speed, plus I've already gained 2 advantages."

"2 advantages?"

"The first one is the scattered water." I instinctively looked down, we were indeed surrounded by water from Zabuza's water clones.
