I bit my lower lip as I quickly ran away, well more like jumping away from branch to branch, trying to put as much distance between myself and wherever Kakashi sensei could be.

I was trying to think when a piercing scream shattered the silence and interrupted my train of thought.

That sounded like Sakura..... so Kakashi sensei is already onto her.

If Kakashi sensei found me, could I even fight him? He's a jonin and I'm just a genin, sure I can fight well among my classmates but the point still stands that he's a jonin. I doubt even Sasuke could defeat him.

Sure Sasuke has his fireball jutsu, and I know that ONE water style jutsu, but that aint enough. Sakura and Naruto wouldn't know any other ninjutsu other than the basics that were taught to us in the academy.

Kakashi sensei isnt someone whom we can defeat alone, we're not at that level yet.....

I immediately stopped and landed on a tree trunk, my eyes widening in realization.

That's it! We can't defeat him alone! We have to work together, he's just pitting us together because of the bells and the lunches isn't he? Even if we can't defeat him while working together, it ought to impress him enough not to fail us, right?

But...... how can I even convince the others about working together? Naruto seems...... stubbornly determined that he's a great ninja who can defeat Kakashi sensei even though he keeps falling for every single trick.

Sakura might listen to me but her choices depends on what Sasuke decides. And Sasuke...... 50-50 chance maybe?

I was standing there for so long that I didnt notice Kakashi sensei standing right beneath me looking up at me casually with his hands in his pockets.

"There you are, you seem to have figured something out Akiko."

I snapped back to reality and jumped away instinctively, I took out a kunai from my holster just in case he came too close, I needed to find the others before lunch time.

"Maybe I have, though I'm not exactly sure if I'm right." I told him honestly.

"Care to share?" he took out the book from his back pocket and started to read.

"I think we can't defeat you by ourselves, and we should be working together." I gripped my kunai and held it out in front of me. I have to get away from him but he definitely wouldn't let me get pass him without a fight.

"Oh......" he said nonchalantly, not giving away any hint of if I was right or wrong.

"So if you'll excuse me.... I'm going to have to find my teammates." I said slowly and immediately fled.

I could see a kunai heading towards me in my peripheral vision so I quickly threw my kunai at it and landed on the ground.

But he's gone? No wait, behind me!

I quickly turned around and brought my arms up to block myself from his kick just in time. Though his kick was strong enough that it still pushed me back despite me blocking it.

"So you're not letting me through huh?" I asked even though I knew the answer.

"No."

"Fine then." Time to put my taijutsu to good use.

I lunged at him with my fist out to punch him which he dodged, I expected that and quickly turned around in midair to kick him using the back of my leg.

He ducked that one and waited till I landed on the ground before attacking me again.

I quickly took out another kunai and blocked his punch before swinging my kunai at him. He gripped my wrist hard enough to make me drop it before landing a blow to my face which caused me to stumble.

"Tch." I attacked him again as we engaged in yet another battle of close-combat, I was barely able to keep up, he had already hit me a few times but I only managed to get him once.

He kneeled down to sweep me off my feet, it worked but I quickly used the momentum to backflip away, already panting.

Shit... at this rate I'm not going to be able to find the others in time! He's so fast and strong too, I just managed to catch up with Sasuke the last few times we trained but this is another level.

Just as Kakashi sensei seemed like he was about to attack, an alarm went off which made him stop.

"Well, looks like your time is up." he told me as he stood up straight and looked at me. "You're not too bad with your taijutsu considering you just graduated but you definitely need to train more."

I huffed, well ain't that obvious.

"See you back at the tree stumps, I believe you can find your way." and with that, he vanished.

I sighed, disappointed in my abilities. I trained a lot with Sasuke but it wasnt enough. I thought of what he said and smiled a bit.

Hey you, you're a genin. So its okay, you just have to train more so that you can become stronger. And Kakashi sensei, a jonin, admitted that your taijutsu was good at this stage.

That seemed to lift my mood a bit, I shouldn't be comparing myself with him, he's a jonin whilst I'm a genin. Just give it your all right now, and one day you'll be at his level.

And with that, I quickly went back to where we were supposed to meet up.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to update! I just finished a module in my semester! 1 down 4 to go, aha. My next module starts tomorrow but as its the first week I only have a few classes and they're online, so it's gonna be pretty chill this week. But I have an assignment due in 2 weeks so I should probably get started on that, but I'll try to finish up this survival training arc by this week! Probably another chapter and then we can move on!

Sorry if there aren't many chapters or scenes focusing on my character Akiko, I've been trying to come up with ideas or scenes of her but can't come up with much for her time in Naruto, I could come up with a few in Shippuden though, but that's gonna take a while.

Sorry for having to read through the scenes that I'm sure many of you are already familiar with and feel bored as it's nothing new, but its coming! So i ask that you guys can be patient enough and continue to support me! Thanks for reading guys.
