Part 8

The headmaster and Edward permitted me to go to the dance. Going back to the academy knowing that vampires lurked the corridors scared me, but what scared me most was that I was a royal among them and had no idea.

My friends acted like everything was totally normal, Stella reassured me that her little sister and her had gotten into much worse vampire fights, I tried to laugh it off but couldn't help but notice that they were all a bit more tense around me than before.

Stella played music and we had some champagne to shake the nerves.

After getting ready and curling my brown hair, we all exited together.

The great hall had been transformed into a dark and elegant ballroom. I slowly walked down the big staircase and smiled at Edward waiting for me at the bottom,

"You are beautiful" he told me, I blushed,

"Beautiful and dangerous" I told him, 

"The perfect girl for me" he flirted, my heart skipped a beat. He took my hand and we entered the ballroom. 

The whole night people stared at Edward and I, he danced with me to the fun music and entertained my friends and their freshmen dates. Josh, Stella's date, was so nervous to talk to Edward he nearly tripped. 

Edward, sensing his nervousness, invited them all to a late night after party at Ravenclaw. Stella, Natalie, and Nora were all super excited to be invited. 

Leaving the larger ballroom, we all walked through the halls to the familiar secret passages to Ravenclaw, Stella couldn't hide her excitement, 

" I can't believe this is happening!" she exclaimed, I truly did not realize how exclusive this little honors club was. 

Entering the Ravenclaw club room, my jaw dropped. If the great hall was considered elegant, this was that times ten. Candles lined the entire walls and the chandelier glistened off of the waterfall. 

Stella, Nora, Natalie and I went over to get some champagne while Josh and his friends went with Edward to meet with some of the men from the soccer team. I watched as they all conversed in the corner and Edward smiled over at me. 

"This is insane" Stella said, "this is going to up my social game by one thousand percent, freshmen being invited to a Ravenclaw party? My mom is never going to believe this"

An all too familiar and annoying person cut her off, 

"That's cute, little freshman calling their mommies? Oh, no offense Bella, not all of our parents are dead" Jen said to me, 

Natalie held my body back as I began to walk up to Jen, I lightly pushed her aside,

"Jen you better fuck off before I seriously hurt you" I told to her,

"I thought Edward didn't like it when his whores cursed?" She said back to me, I felt the power inside me beg to come out and teach her a lesson, my eyes flared up and I saw Jen get scared, 

Edward came over to me, 

"Isabella, enough" he commanded me, I was still so angry but tried to calm down,

"She turned into a vampire?" Jen asked, a group had now gathered around us. 

"Isabella is still human, but she could destroy you. Pureblood royalty runs in her veins. I'm not even going to defend her anymore, I only came over here to convince her not to murder you. In fact, let this be a warning to all of you, mess with Bella, you're mess with my royal line" Edward said to me, Jen looked in shock,
