It was February 15, 2015.
Melody was still in a coma.
Melody has been in a coma for 8 months.
Eight entire months.
Luke visited as often as he could.
It was awful.
Everything about th situation seemed hopeless.
Being positive was basically pointless...
The girls and I talked less and less.
You could feel the sadness if all of us were in a room at the same time.
We had no idea when Melody would wake up......
If she did wake up.
"This is awful," Ava said.
"It's almost been a year," Amber said.
"More like a school year," Ashley said.
"She's missed so much," I laughed.
"How is that funny?" Ava asked.
"Melody would get mad if she was on of the first 10,000 people to wish a member of One Direction or 5SOS happy birthday," I laughed.
"She would always say,"Stupid time zones." Then just sit on the couch staring at her phone, hoping for a follow from one of the guys," Ava giggled.
"The only thing keeping me from One DIrection and 5sos are continents, oceans, a sea of fans, and barriers at concerts," Ashley quoted.
"She was so positive," Amber said,"We would ask her what if she forgets about them when she gets older."
"And she would always respond with a duh face and," Ashley said.
"Why would I forget about my husband? Like, what?" We said.
"She was so weird," I said.
"The weirdest," Ava and Ashley said.
We laughed.
It was the first time we had a normal conversation in months.
It was nice.
Melody was the one in our group that tied us together.
It was different without her, but she'll wake up soon.....
