Tanith Low stared blankly at Ghastly Bespoke, the life gone from her eyes. "Why does it have to be like this?" She choked out. "It's not fair."

A few tears rolled down the blonde woman's face, and Ghastly's expression softened. He moved over and wrapped her in a hug while she cried. Tanith's shoulders started shaking, and her thoughts travelled to her own daughter - the one whom she'd kept secret from everyone for extra safety precautions. She had been planning on telling Valkyrie when she'd come back, but now...

Tanith burst into sobs, clinging to Ghastly as if her life depended on it. She'd left for a few months, given birth, left the child somewhere safe and come back with the intention of spilling the beans to her unbiological sister, only to find out that Valkyrie was dead.

It wasn't fair.

Ghastly tried to distract her by changing the subject. "How's our daughter?" He asked softly, stroking Tanith's hair.

The blonde woman looked up, eyes bloodshot and puffy. "Healthy and happy," she managed a small smile. "Once she gets older I'll introduce her to the others. Otherwise it'll be too risky."

He smiled back warmly. "Sounds like a great idea."

Skulduggery hated Bella.

He knew that for a fact. Just the mere thought of his daughter made his blood boil. She had taken Valkyrie from him. His Valkyrie, had been snatched away by his child. Bella was already a murderer, and murderers had to be punished.

He was getting himself worked up again, head pounding with the amount of dark thoughts and plans he was conjuring up in his mind. How dare she?

He growled, eyes narrowing into slits. How dare Bella hurt his Valkyrie? The Bentley swerved, the wing mirrors almost being taken clean off by a power pole. His anger spiked.

No. Bella was going to pay. Big time.
