TW // blood, gore, implied suicide, death
Also fun fact I mistyped 'blood' and wrote 'bloof'

I felt like I was sliding through a shallow pool of cold water, then dropping out the bottom through air again until my feet landed hard on firm ground.

George's hand had been pulled out of mine, but he was there, and Sapnap, and a6d next to him, and Skeppy and Bad. We were all standing on obsidian, in a dim box with waxy rock walls. I heard an Enderman above us.
Sapnap started a staircase. "Good. Good spawn. A6d, you stay here and save your arrows, after we break the crystals try to snipe the dragon. If it comes at you just run from the dragon breath. Everyone else, on me. You know your jobs."

"Dream," a6d called quietly. I went over to him. "Yeah?"
He held up a few potions. "Just checking. This one is healing, this one is regeneration, this one is slow falling, right?"
"Yeah, those are all right."
"Okay." He looked at me. "Be careful."
I put a hand on his shoulder and pulled him into a hug. "You too."

"Dream, we're splashing the potions!"
I hurriedly followed the voice up the stairs.
Wow. The End was different than I expected. Colder. The obsidian pillars were huge, I could only see a few. There was no sight or sound of the dragon, but Endermen were scattered across the barren landscape. Their murmuring and whispers floated over everything like a mist, punctuated by the sharp snap of teleporting.
I quickly turned my eyes down and huddled next to Skeppy and Sapnap.

Sapnap touched each of our heads and then tossed a potion directly above us. It sailed up and stopped, floating at the top of the arc, then it drifted downwards, picking up speed until it shattered on all of us. The shards evaporated like water, since the gunpowder heated into the glass made it brittle.
The potion was pearly gray with a tinge of green; I felt lighter as soon as it soaked through my skin.

Sapnap tugged me and Bad away from the other two. George nodded and backed up as Sapnap called, "Keep an eye out for the dragon George- and Skeppy be ready for anything!"
He threw a stormy blue potion straight up and team-huddled us like a sports captain. "Let's break those CRYSTALS!!" he shouted right next to my ear. The swiftness potion broke over our heads.
"Ow," Bad muttered. Was that for your head or your ears?

Sapnap screamed with frenzied excitement and ran towards the pillars. I followed, surprised at how softly I fell when parkouring over blocks. I could run like the wind, but as soon as both feet left the ground I slowed like I was underwater.
"WOOOOOO!" I could almost forget about the threat of death when having this much fun. Adrenaline and the potions helped me run fast and light, already coming up on the first pillar.

It was bigger than I thought. Sapnap was already opening fire at the glowing purple light hidden at the top. It was so high up I couldn't make it out, but I could aim for it.
Sapnap's arrows studded the edge like bristles. My first buried into the obsidian too, the second flew over it. My heartbeat was loud in my ears as Sapnap ran back and forth to angle himself.
Finally one of the arrows hit it, the explosion blasted out in a supernova of smoke and light, but it was a drop of rain compared to the storm that answered.

An ear-splitting roar rocked the island's core and seemed to shake my bones right out of my body. It dove from above like a missle. The whole atmosphere pulsed and colossal flaps almost drowned out George's shout of "DRAGON!!!!"

I couldn't see it against the inky black sky. The air was vibrating harder and harder. Sapnap screamed "RUUUUUUUN!" at the top of his lungs. I stumbled behind the pillar as the wind almost knocked me off my feet and grew with the whistle of something massive falling quickly, closer. Bad was there. I glimpsed glowing smoke trails making a beeline for us and cowered behind my shield, pressing myself against the pillar.
