It was the last two weeks of December, left and right people were getting asked to the yule ball. You had just been sitting in the courtyard with Cho Chang, when she got asked by Cedric Diggory. She was beaming with excitement and looked quite flustered, you were so happy for her! You of course, didn't have a date, because you weren't going.

It wasn't like boys didn't notice you, you were stunning. Your s/c shimmered when the sun hit it, along with beautiful y/e/c eyes anyone could get lost in, you tended to avoid social interactions, as best as possible. You couldn't help that it made you incredibly uncomfortable, being in big crowds. So naturally, you weren't popular, didn't have more than two friends, and spent most of your time reading, or in your dorm.

You waved Cho goodbye, as now she was going on a little date with Cedric after being asked. 'Pride and Prejudice' seemed quite appealing, so you pulled it out of your bag, and sat under a tree.

You read and read for hours, almost forgetting what time it was, it was getting darker. You stood up and flung your bag over your shoulder and walked with 'Pride and Prejudice' stuck in your face. You walked down the corridor, and took a sharp right, and accidentally bumped into something, or someone.

"Woah, watch where your going ravenclaw." The boy in front of you picked up your book off the ground, "Pride and Prejudice?" he looks at you. "Oh- yeah, uh sorry." You reach for the book but he flips it over and reads the back. "Huh.." His voice trails off, you watch his gray eyes scan each line, "You know, I've never seen you before." he then hands it back to you. You gave a awkward laugh, "Well, I've been here since 1st year." Your eyes refuse to make eye contact. "Hm..well, I'm Draco."

"I know." Your eyes widen in the slightest, while one corner of his mouth quirked up, "I mean like- like you're- I've seen you around." You sighed. Draco only smirked, watching your timid face. There was a awkward silence, before he broke it. "And your name is?" He asked. "Shit- y/n." "Well nice to meet you, shit- y/n." He grinned, while you actually gave a genuine laugh.

Once you calmed down, you checked your watch. "Well, I've got to go." You went to turn on your heel, almost leaving, before Draco asked, "Do you want to hangout?" You stopped in your tracks, holy shit. Boys only really thought you looked pretty, none of them really wanted to 'hangout', before. Draco quickly became nervous, which was very rare for him, "I mean not right now," he scratched the back of his neck, "like tomorrow, or the next?"

You finally looked up from your shoes, making eye contact. "Yeah," he let out a sigh of relief, "tomorrow is fine." You gave a lovely grin. Draco's eyes widened, "Uh- cool, yeah." he didn't expect you to really agree, you've literally just met after all. "We'll meet here? 4:00?" "Great!" Draco smiled so much, even he couldn't believe it. "Okay, well- um- I'll see you tomorrow then." You said and brushed past him with a grin on your face. You basically had a date with Draco Malfoy.

Oh, Draco, poor thing, him. He couldn't sleep at all. His stomach twisted and turned all over your little date. Draco wouldn't know what to do if you didn't like him, after all, he thought you were the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Although Draco's quite the stud, he'd never really found a girl who sparked his interest, and never at first glance. He flipped around on his bed, his thoughts filled with you, until Draco finally dozed off to sleep.
