Ever since your skating date, you and Draco have been inseparable. He's either in your dorm, or your in his. Draco has even helped you with your social anxiety, some of his friends even consider you their friends too. You've been the happiest ever.

Draco sat on his bed, doing homework, while you sat on the floor petting Draco's cat. "I wouldn't have struck you as a cat person." you scratch the top of her head while she stretched. "I'm not really, Nova's different." He fiddled with his wand between his fingers, "And she likes you, which is rare." You picked up Nova and put her on the bed. You walked around the bed and slid your arms around Draco's neck. "Hey." He turned his head to kiss the side of your forehead. "Hi." You grinned and pecked his lips.

"I've been thinking..." Draco put his hands on top of yours, "Do you want to go to the yule ball with me?" Your stomach dropped. The yule ball? With all those people in one room? You'd think it'd be okay, after all you eat in the great hall...but you never really did, you'd get your food, then go up to your dorm. "Y/n?" He looked at you, "Are you okay?" The thought of being there made you ill, "Uh- I don't know." You wiggled out of his grip. "I don't want to pressure you, but it would be so fun!" Draco turned around to look at you. "Can I think about it?"

"Of course." he took your hand and pulled you back on the bed. "I don't want this to ruin your mood, okay?" Draco kissed your hand. "Don't worry about it." You simply nodded and laid down next to a sleeping Nova. You lightly stroked her back while Draco took off his sweater. "Y/n do you want-" He turned to you, wanting to give you his sweater, but found you sleeping cuddling Nova. Draco smiled and sighed, moved his book, and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind you.

"Draco asked me to the yule ball." You said as you sank into the chair next to Cho. "What?!" She slammed her textbook close, "That's great!" Cho looked at you, your wretched face stared back. "That's great," she paused, "right?"

"It is great, but not." You grumbled, "I'm too scared, there's too much people, and with Draco? A whole bunch of girls are gonna see me! Oh god, they're going to judge me." You slouched in your chair and hid your face with your hands. "Oh, you poor thing." Cho got up and sat on your arm rest, "Y/n, don't feel pressured to go if it causes you this much stress." She rubbed your arm in a comforting way. "But Draco seemed so excited about it." You mumbled, "I'll have to sleep on it." you lazily got up. "Goodnight Cho." She bid goodnight as well and you left for your dorm.

You were definitely overthinking this, right? Maybe no one would even notice you. Oh for gordic's sake of course they'll notice you! You're with Draco mother fucking Malfoy! You lay staring at your ceiling, holding a polaroid of you and Draco. You were with Draco mother fucking Malfoy... you out of all people. That made you realize- Draco could literally go with any girl, but he chose you. "I'm going to the yule ball." You whispered to yourself. "Shit."

Draco stood outside the ravenclaw tower, waiting to walk with you to class. His mind had been off thinking about the yule ball for three days straight! He really wanted to go with you, but didn't want to feel like he's forcing you into something you don't want. "Hey love." You stepped out of the tower and locked your fingers with his. "I have an answer," You gave a dramatic pause, "I'd love to go to the yule ball with you, Draco." You expected a great smile, but were met with a look of concern. "Are you sure? Please don't feel pressured by me." He kissed your hand. You shook your head, "I can do it." and smiled. "Then I'm beyond thrilled to have you as my date, Miss y/n." Draco winked at you, making your cheeks burn.
