Draco's Pov

"Draco?" Y/n waves a hand in front of my face, shit I must've zoned out. Again. "What? Sorry." I think she has reread the same page three times already. I can't help it, the why her brow furrows while she reads, and how she slightly purses her lips while concentrating. The candle lighting perfectly captures her faint freckles. She's mesmerizing.

She catches my gaze, but quickly looks away. Oh Merlin, I do love making her nervous. She gets so flustered, her eyes fly around the room as her cheeks heat up. "I said," She looks back down at the book in front of her, "What are at least three ingredients for a 'Cure for boils' potion?" I think for a second, that's easy, I know all of them. Dried nettles, six snake fangs, four horned slugs, two porcupine quills, pungous onions, flobberworm mucus, ginger root and a shrake spine. "Uh- dried nettles, one sopophorous bean and two horned slugs?"

She rolls her eyes, a smirk tugging at her lips. "It's almost like you're not listening to a word I'm saying." She giggles, I swear my heart just exploded. I laugh along with her, watching how the creases by her eyes grow deeper as she smiles. "I am, I promise! It's just I have a hard time in potions." I tried to play it off, running my hand through my hair.

That was a lie. Potions is my best class, actually. I'd hate for her to find out that she's actually second to me this entire semester. What can I say? I had to find a way to talk to her. "Can you read it again?"

Third Person

You look down at you page, "We've gone through this section a million times." you complain. You had agreed on helping Draco bump up his grade (upon his request) but you didn't think it would take this many tries. You look back up, only to find Draco inches away from your face. He's sat up in his chair now, resting his elbows on the table. "Sorry, I'll get it this time."

"Fine, but seriously, listen." You use your pointer finger to keep your place on the page. You read out the ingredients, as well as the instructions. "If brewed correctly, the potion should be blue in colour and emits a pink smoke when completed." You feel his intense stare. "What would happen if you brewed it badly?" Draco looks around the library, finally giving you the chance to look back up. "Well, nasty boils would erupt on your skin, right?" He redirects his eyes back to you, but you were way too happy that he actually got something right this study session to look away.

"Yes! That's right." You sighed happily, your face beaming. Draco's dimpled smile widens, happy that your happy with his minimal work. You didn't even notice you were staring at him, God he's even prettier up close.

"Y/n?" Draco waves a hand in front of your face, an amused smirk replaced his smile. "What? Sorry." Your face burns with embarrassment. He tilts his head slightly, and his gaze shifts to your lips. You tilt the other way and felt his hand come to cup your face.

The lightest, most innocent, soft kiss was placed on your lips.

He pulls away, withdrawing his hand from your face. You almost miss how cold it was. There was a moment of silence, "Well- uh- this time again? Thursday?" You started packing up your things. Draco shakes his head and chuckles lightly, "This time, Thursday." He also closes his books, "But at the three broomsticks, instead." You sat motionless for a second, was this a date? Or did he want to study at the three broomsticks? You're hoping it's the first one, "Definitely." you stood, and he followed.

You two walked side by side for a little, in a comfortable silence. Until Draco's pinky finger interlocked with yours. You looked down at your pinkies, and couldn't help but notice a paper sticking out the top of his bag. It's the already completed notes for this same section.

Cheeky bastard.
