Once Lana said that I just froze. But I eventually answered.
Kat- honey,who was my boyfriend before ?
Lana- I thought you and James were boyfriend and girlfriend.
Kat-oh no sweetie we are just friends......... Oh here comes David now
James POV
I turned around and see this man with slicked brown hair with blonde streaks. He was tight jeans and a loose shirt with Fall Out Boy on it.
Kat POV
I can see James scanning him with his eyes like he's a detective searching for a criminal.
Kat- hey David
David- hey babe
Kat- this is my friend James and his sister Lana
David-I can tell she's adopted.
James- you better watch it. Yes she's adopted but I'm still her big brother.
David- Woah we got a talker
Lana- leave my brother alone. Our just dad died so he's still upset. So please leave him alone
James- you got a nice guy Kat
Kat-thanks
James- wait you are serious ? You thinks he's nice.
Then James and Lana leaves.
*3 hours later*
James pov
Lana and I went to moms house to go check up on her.
James-hey mom. Me and Lana are here
I didn't hear anything so I went looking for her. I called her throughout the house...no answer.
I checked to see if she left a note or something. She did on the fridge

Hey whoever is reading this I'm with your grandmother in Nevada. I have to look after her for a couple of months. No worries. I'll see you soon. Love mom

Lana-mommy left?
James-she's helping grandma for awhile.
Lana-oh okay. So are you upset about Kat?
James-nah I'm happy for her.
Lana-oh :( I really want to see you happy.
James- I am happy. Even though daddy passed, I'm still trying to be happy.
Lana-well you were happy when you were Kat. I think you liked her a lot.
James-can I tell you something ?
Lana-sure
James-I may be in love with her.
Lana-*jaw drops* love?????
James-yeah it sounds silly but I may love her. Don't tell anyone, especially Kat.
