KURT POV

What a rush of emotions! I'm still rocking on my heels, trying to process what's going on!

When I think back to our conversation this morning, I'd already begun to piece it together, but it was just too far fetched and I convinced myself that it was the romance of the woods, tricking my tired and exhausted brain into imagining that Can Divit was the imposing large dark Alpha wolf and Sanem was the incredibly beautiful white wolf.

Now, I've just witnessed...the most surreal thing I could ever imagine...

I close my eyes and open them again, just to make sure I'm not still asleep on the sofa, and that this is just a bizarre dream...
But no, I'm really here, stood at these open bi-fold doors, staring out into the woods, as my flame coloured mystic wolf has emerged in a blurry haze from the slim, human body of Diana...

"This is un-real. This is not happening! What the hell is going on? DIANA!"

Umut is concerned for me, holding my shoulder and Can is stood, solid and straight, eyes on her, as I shout out into the open space and watch her leave, but then she stops and turns and we're both panting. Can twists his head and speaks. He moves his hands to rest on his hips.

"Well, you know what we are now, but this is just the beginning. Are you ready for your own journey?"
"My journey...to where? I mean, after this, what comes next? I can't go back."
"Whatever happens, we're all here to help you, but you have to listen to that inner voice and trust your instincts more. What are they telling you?"
Diana is stood, watching me. Her feet dancing with adrenaline, ready to burst off any second. Held back by my call.
"To run after her. To be with her. To understand."
"Because..?"
"She's upset and when that happens, I feel it too... we're...well, we have a connection."
"You do. A strong connection. A wolf connection. You're her mate."
There's that word again.
Umut squeezes my shoulder and slaps me on the back.
A man with a wolf?
I see these two men catch each others eyes after seeing my face. Can has an almost gold fleck in his, that flashes at me, willing me to understand on my own. Trust my instincts.
I'm an architect. A problem solver. Creative in my outlook but with the need to have all the angles and measurements fitting together too. I have the ability to work this through in my head... Step by step.

You know what we are now...
Diana, showed me.

Can Divit, is a man, and a wolf. The dark Alpha.
Sanem, his wife, his mate, is the white wolf.
Umut, man and wolf.
Diana...the flame haired mystic wolf. Her sisters, this whole family are... And I'm here, brought into their pack, by them.
Why?

"Are you saying that I'm also..."

I clear my throat and look down to the floor. The tingling in my scalp?  The sweats and heat that's been burning within me? The need to be out in the woods and the vigorous night time exercise? I thought I had a virus.

"but I can't do that? I've never done that... HOW? Why?... WHEN?"

Now, she howls and she's off running again, and I do what Can says.
I trust my instincts...and find the strength to propel myself out of Umut's grasp and run after her. Only she can tell me.

She's fast though and I train my eyes on the flash of red fur and the pale tip on the end of a swishing tail but I lose it as soon as the trees close up around me and then all I see is endless rows of brown bark with white patches, left from the snow and frost.
The ground is hard and I look down and ahead as my boots hit the dirt. The lake is on my left hand side, visible and close. If I follow that, I'll end up at the large tree that she always props herself next to...
I'm shocked that I can even think this rationally about the situation.
I'm in a wood, running hard after a wolf.
A woman.
A half woman, half wolf?
That I'm attracted to and have been from the first night here. And each night, she stayed next to me, watching me run, and chop wood and ask stupid questions about wolves while I stroked her fur.
