It was after school in a classroom.

After Mika and I decided which cosplay event to go to, we were
excitedly discussing what we were going to do there

“I’m going to get you to do this, Saki,” Mika said, “you’ll
pose like the Marshall trying to fire a spell with a fearless
smile, just as mentioned in the official guidebook!”

“Fufufu,” I chuckled, “then Mika, let’s have you pose as the
Saint of Light leaning against the wall looking lost in her
thoughts, also mentioned in the official guidebook!”

“That’s what I want to do!” Mika said.

   “I’ll do it!” I said.

Then in the middle of that exchange, Mika folded her arms and
   groaned, going, “Hmm.”

“So, I also want to act out the CG’s…”

   … Huh?

Did Mika also want to recreate the CG’s?

This is… does she have feelings for me, too!??

“Saki, you’re looking scary, what’s wrong?”
   [INS: :INS]

While I was cheering inside my heart, Mika’s displeased
expression brought me back to reality. I don’t know what she
was thinking but let’s just cover it up, shall we?

“Ah, no, it was nothing,” I said. “I also want to act out the
   CG’s, so let’s try it.”

When we got back to the topic, Mika groaned and looked bitter.
Perhaps I was too desperate and pushed it too hard…

“Yeah,” Mika said. “I want to do that but then I’m wondering
what we’ll do about the photos. Even though you’ll be the
Marshall, Saki, it’ll be difficult to get a good shot with a
timer… it’ll also be hit-and-miss if we just ask random
   people…”

   Yep.

At least it isn’t a serious problem. Mika, you look more
   serious than I did.

“It’s a bit of a pain for high school students to hire a
   cameraman…” I said.

   “Isn’t it…?” Mika said. “I want to take a couple’s shot with
   you as the Marshall, Saki…”

   Huh?

Did she just emphasize me right now?

In other words, maybe this is… a possibility that there’s a
   chance…

   Gata-gata-gata…! [69]^1

“Uwah?!” I yelled, jumping up at the sudden noise.

“… Hmm?” Mika said. In contrast to me, she calmly looked at her
smartphone. “Ahaha, I’m surprised to see how badly you reacted,
   Saki.”

“Th-That’s because it just started rattling…” I said.

“Fuh-fuh-fuh, phone calls are always sudden!” Mika said as she
picked up her phone and stared at the screen.

Then, her eyes went wide and she stood up.

“Sorry, Saki! I’d love to say but I’ve got some urgent business
I need to do, so I gotta go!”

“Ah, uh, sure,” I said but what on earth was this urgent
   business?

“Fuh-fuh-fuh, I’ll let you know the details later!” Mika said.
“Well, I might be a little late, so head home without me!”
