Chapter 5: Cruisin for a bruisin

And that's all five targets in position everybody to your stations please Jax said. Great thanks Jax zoey said. We went to our stations. All right let's get this party started steel said. Okay rangers this is round 1 cruise Said. How about we make training interesting anybody who misses buys the rest of us smoothies what do you say Devon asked. I don't have my wallet but I won't be needing it Ravi said. Oh you are on I said. Hey this is target practice it's not competition but I'll beat you all zoey said. Wait I can't even drink a smoothie steel said. Ready set fire smash said as we picked up our blasters and blasted the cardboard Tronics. No smoothies so far Ravi said. Don't get cocky I said. But round 2 is a little harder smash said. Great Nate sAid. Now where did I put the remote control cruise said. The one you are holding Devon asked. Oh yeah there it is cruise said. Oh smash said. Cruise Jax said. He then brought in another cardboard Tronic but this time it was moving around. So we figured you might wanna crank things up a notch cruise said. A moving target huh nate said. Piece of cake I said. More of a challenge you mean Devon said. Ready set fire smash said. We then started blasting the Tronic but none of us could hit the target. It's moving too fast Ravi said. Ugh I'll say zoey said. That's a tough one Nate said. Not tough impossible steel said. Did you even test this I asked. Of course cruise tested it show em jax said. All right then cruise said as he picked up Devons blaster. He then shot the Tronic with no problem. Whoa Nate said. What a shot devon said. See it's not impossible cruise said. Way to go buddy devon said as he high fives him. Dude have you been practicing zoey asked. No no it was nothing really cruise said. Nothing Ravi said. We could use that kind of shooting on our team I said. More firepower isn't a bad idea cruise can help us out against real robotron and  Tronics devon said. Hold on that's isn't what I meant I said. I'm not so sure about that zoey said. Me either beast bots weren't really built for ground fights Nate said. Doesn't mean that they can't do it how about it cruise devon said. Oh well sure anything to help you devon and the rangers cruise said. I don't know Nate said. Come on you saw how precise he is devon said. Yeah cruise said. Fine I'll make him some blasters but he's gotta do combat training if he's gonna be in the field Nate said. Yes this is gonna be unreal devon said. I can't wait devon cruise said. I don't think he should I said. Me either but if devon wants him to then I guess he will have to make a mistake at some point Nate said. Come on Ravi said.

Nates lab:
So these should do it here you go cruise these wheel blasters are built to interface with your beast bot technology Nate said. Wow these are the nicest wheels I've ever had cruise said. If anyone fires back you can use them for cover too Nate said. Cool cruise said. Nice job Nate Devon said. Yeah thanks cruise said. That's when the alarm beeped. Rangers I know you are busy but there's been a disturbance downtown in sector delta 7-8 go check it out the commander said. We are on our way Devon said. It's time for action cruise Devon added. Yeah I'm ready to fight with the team cruise said. Come on buddy Devon said. Devon hold up Nate said. Those wheel blasters are good but cruise needs combat training I said. Maybe but he's already a great shot Devon said. Agreed but he doesn't have what the rangers have human instincts and intellect Nate said. Look I promise I'll take care of him out there I believe in cruise he will be alright Devon said and walked out. Nate and I looked at each other before following. We arrived at the city and we saw a robotron sucking tech out of different devices we were hiding before we jumped in and attacked. He's scarfing down tech like it's his lunch zoey said. Well he's not getting dessert Devon said. He then ran and we all followed. Hey you Devon said. Did someone say dessert he said. It's morphing time Devon said. Activate beast power unleash the beast  we said. And unleash the beast bot cruise said. You can't outnumber me Tronics he said and Tronics appeared. Whoa we will take these ones Nate said. Him and steel went to fight those Tronics. I stayed and helped Ravi Devon and zoey. Attack he said and we all started fighting Tronics. Cruise to the left Devon said. He then shot the Tronics. Got them whoo boo cruise said. I then continued fighting the Tronics. Zoey was then fighting the robotron and I went to help her. Hey make it a fair fight I said as I kicked the robotron. A really fair fight Ravi said as he joined us. We then g bombarded with Tronics again. We kept fighting. We finished off the Tronics and we saw the robotron throw Devon to the ground. Devon zoey said as she flew in to the robotron. But she got punched and thrown to the ground. And just as I was about to attack he blasted me to the ground. Zoey Lily ravi said. He then blasted Devon and ravi. He's getting stronger ravi said. We can't give up Devon said. Guys where's cruise Nate asked. That robotron absorbed him Devon said. What Nate said. We gotta capture him and find a way to get cruise back Devon said. Can me strike he said and tried to catch the robotron but he disappeared before he could. What steel said. No cruise cruise Devon said as he fell to one knee. Nate and I walked up to him and put our hands on his shoulder. Oh it's not the same without cruise smash said. Is beast boys are a trio not a duo Jax said. He was fighting so well then we lost sight of each other one moment he was there and then he was gone And it's all my fault   Devon said. I should have insisted on combat training Nate said. You tired in fact you and Lily both told me and I just wouldn't listen Devon said. You can't blame yourself zoey said. That robotron was after tech any tech I said. If it want cruise it would have been steel Ravi said. True if you after tech i would be the ultimate catch steel said. I know you are all trying to make me feel better but it's only gonna happen when w ever cruise back Devon said. How are we gonna do that I asked. That robotron is even stronger now because cruises technology powered it up Ravi said. That's it the answer is right in front of us it's Jax and smash Devon said. Us smash and Jax said. Whoa no way is Jax is fighting zoey said. Count smash out too Ravi said. No that's not it I have a better idea Devon said. Like what smash asked. Digitron become more powerful when he digitized and absorbed cruise it's like you said he powered himself up what if we combined with our beast bots so we could become powerful too like digitron what do you say Nate is it even possible Devon asked. It's a complex idea but I think there's a way and more importantly if I can figure out how to turn a beast bot into data w expulsion reverse it and then data back into a beast bot maybe save cruise Nate said. Oh man Jax said. Devon Nate you are geniuses steel said. We are in Jax said. Whatever we can do to help smash said. Thanks guys we are gonna do this Devon said. Yeah we are steel said. Zoey and I put our hands on Devons shoulder. These keys will digitize smash and Jax ready to give it a go Nate asked as he handed the keys to Ravi and zoey. Ha we were built ready Jax said. Hit us with what you have got smash said. Great Nate said as zoey and Ravi walked over to smash and Jax. Here goes nothing zoey said. They both started to digitize Jax and smash. Ooh that's feels kinda funny smash said. Whoa smash buddy are you in there Ravi said. They are fine the digitization worked perfectly smash and Jax are now loaded into your keys Nate said. You did it exactly like digitron Devon said. Whoa zoey said. That's amazing I said. Smash and Jax are data now zoey said. Affirmative so with that in mind hit digitron with this Nate said as he handed him another key. Thanks Devon said. It should extract cruises data safe and sound with your beast bot data loaded they are primed to be deployed into battle let me show you how Nate said. What are those Ravi asked. This is a beast x mode visor it attaches to your morpher then when you are ready to deploy your new armour Nate said. We insert our beast x mode keys zoey asked. Exactly and then thanks to my genius bro smash and Jax will become your armor and amplify your beast powers in battle with beast x mode you three could almost as string as I am steel said as we all laughed. Just a little bit more programming to upload and these things will be ready to go Nate said. The alarm then started beeping. What's up commander Devon asked. Digitron is back sector bravo 6-4 the commander said. Roger that Devon said. Let us know the second the visors are ready Nate said. That will be in seven minutes the girl said. That's robotron could be causing some real damage in the city zoey said. We will have to hold on our own without the new tech come on let's get out of here Devon said. God luck guys I said. Thanks lil Nate said as they ran off.

After the fight:
Thank you for the blasters Nate they work great but I think I prefer helping Devon in beast x mode especially with that cheetah move cruise said handing the blasters back to Nate. It was a real blast Jax said. Yeah sign us up for more smash said. Hey are you okay cruise Devon asked. Yeah but I'm sorry I got captured I really let you down cruise said. Are you kidding I pushed into fighting when you didn't have the training and I won't make that mistake again cause you are so much more than a beat hit you are one of my best friends Devon said. Wow Devon that means so much cruise said as they hugged. I guess you could say beast x mode has made us closer than ever cruise said. Exactly Devon said. I think this calls for celebration smash said. Oh wow Jax said. He then popped a party popper. That is one extra party popper steel said. We heard a bang betty said as she and Ben came through the door. Whoa what a mess betty said. But don't worry we will take care of it Ben said. then the Tronic for earlier on in training came in. Presenting the mop master machine betty said. It will clear it up in a jiffy clean up confetti Ben said. It then started cleaning up confetti. Ta da they both said. Why is it looking at me like that Ben asked. Uh Ben you have got confetti on you betty said. Guys we all do Devon said. What zoey said. Run I said as we all ran away from the Tronic. Wait for me guys smash said. Hey Ben Devon said. What do we do smash asked. I'm trying but it won't stop Ben said. Then it exploded. Phew that was close lucky this beast bot still got it cruise said as we all laughed.
