19. Smart toddler

♪♫𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚗𝚘𝚠- bo burnham♫♪

Katsuki was still sat up on the couch as he tried to calm down his thoughts and nerves.

He turned to face you when he felt a shift on the couch.

No you were sat up too rubbing your eyes to wake yourself up.

"Katsuki, is everything okay?"
You ask, clueless of his inner conflicts.

"Uh yeah I'm fine, just a bad dream I guess"
He avoided.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Katsuki didn't want to Describe his dream to you. Mostly because it involved him saying he cared about you which he wasn't planning on admitting anytime soon. But also because he didn't want to reminisce on the dream.

But katsuki realised from months of turning to kirishima after having a nightmare and him being comforting and supportive rather than judgmental meant that people didn't see him as weak and it wouldn't make him any less of a hero to talk about his feelings.

"When I used to have the same nightmares over again, after being kidnapped, I could always wake up and remember it's in the past and I won't get hurt again, but this one was different, new."

"What was different about this one"
You asked.

"Well usually it was me getting hurt by the villains. Or me not getting saved and being stuck forever. But this time it was.. you"

You stayed quiet and tried to think of an appropriate reply.

"Well what happened to me."

He anxiously rubbed the back of his neck. And tried to find the words.

You placed your hand on his shoulder
"You don't have to say it. Just know I'm safe and I know that you won't let anything happen to me. Alright?"

"Yeah. You're right I won't."

"You want to go back to sleep?"
You asked.

"Yeah"

He laid back down and so did you but this time he draped him arm over your waist and pulled you close the him. He closed the space between you two to eliminate any thoughts of you being endangered or apart from him.

The next morning you awoke still in katsukis arms. It was comforting to have him holding you so close. You thought back to your last conversation.

When you awoke in the middle of the night and saw katsuki sitting up with teary eyes and uneven breaths.

How he told you that he had another nightmare. But this time, it was you endanger.

That you reminded him that you were alright and nothing bad was going to happen to you.

You were cut out of your thoughts when you heard someone quietly call your name.

You turned to see Aizen standing near the couch holding one of his teddy bears.

You moving must of woken katsuki as you heard he groan from beside you and felt him sit up next to you.

He must of realised Aizen too as he immediately removed his warm hands from around you waist.

"Why the hell are you awake Aizen"
Katsuki asked, hoping the toddler didn't just see the two of you cuddling seconds before.

"It's 9 o clock. I was going to ask if (y/n) could please make me breakfast."

"Wow I thought it was earlier than 9. Yeah buddy I'll make it for you now"
You said as you stood up and made your way over to the kitchen.

Katsuki tossed his legs over the side of the couch and rubbed his hands over his face to wake himself while Aizen still stood in front of him.

"What's up little man"
He said with a yawn.

"We're you cuddling (y/n)?"

Katsuki stayed silent for a while.
"No we were just keeping warm."

"Keeping warm by cuddling"
He remarked.

"Shut up you little asshole"
He said as he stood up and ruffled Aizens hair before making his way to the kitchen with you.

You were standing over the stove cooking bacon and eggs for all of you when katsuki and Aizen followed you into the kitchen.

Once all the food was cooked, you served it onto plates and placed them in front of you, katsuki and Aizen as you all began eating.

"How come we have to eat breakfast in the mornings."
Asked Aizen curiously.

"Cause other wise you won't grow all big and strong like me"
Said katsuki.

"Well actually katsuki you aren't "big" your short"

"Hey shut up I'm average height!"
He replied.

"That's true. Katsuki is 172cm. And that's average height for someone his age"
Said Aizen which made you both pause.

"How did you know that Aizen"
Katsuki said.

"I don't know"

"Aizen when is Katsukis birthday?"
You asked the toddler.

"20th of April"

You were both stunned to silence. The 5 year old toddler in front of you both new information he was never told about.

"Okay Aizen what about me. How tall am I?"

"(Heigh)cm"

"Aizen who told you this"

"The voice. Whenever I look at you it tells me"

You were both scared. Was some otherworldly thing possessing your brother and telling him your heights

You both stayed silent until Katsukis spoke up
"A quirk. It's got be his quirk"

"Holy crap"

"I have a quirk?"

"Yes oh my god you do!"
You replied as you got up and walked over to pick Aizen up.

"This is so cool Ai"

"What do you think. Is it just heights and birthdays"

"I don't know. I'll schedule a doctors appointment now"
You said as you placed him down and grabbed your phone dialling the doctors and walking into the other room.

"So my quirk is in my brain. So I won't have a cool hero quirk like you"
Aizen said sadly.

"Of course not dummy. If you want to be a hero you can be one. Doesn't matter what your power is"
Katsukis reassured him.

You came back into the kitchen.
"Okay our appointment is at 10:30. How about you go get changed into some nice clothes Aizen and then we'll go to the doctors alright buddy?"

"Okay"
He said as he go off the stool and headed into his room.

Once you two were alone, you woke up
"I can't believe it. He probably has some intelligence quirk. It's nothing like mine or my mothers. She also had a plant quirk"

"What about your dad"

"I can't really remember, I think he might of had a quirk. So it's possible."

Aizen came back out in a new pair of clothes. You and Katsuki got changed too and the when you were all ready, you called a taxi to the doctors
