After Jennie's lawyer asked Cory on the witness stand, Kang's lawyer started asking tough questions as usual. Like, as Cory stated, she's closer towards Jennie since Kang barely talks to her.. he used that as a sign of Cory being on the petitioner's side because of their closeness but they might be tampering the evidence. Jisoo's attorney told us that all of his question and accusation will most probably be disregarded since Cory has a solid evidence which backs up her whole statement.

When Cory stepped down from the witness stand they call on a prosecutor who was also the person who talked to Ella. He's now here to deliver what Ella told him. I think they're trying to protect Ella from facing both Kang and Jennie inside the courtroom while they're trying to decide on who should have the custody.

"Last week I was able to sit down and talk to Ella. I will read the important parts of what we talked about." He pauses and grab a paper to read what's in it "Ella seems to be a really kind-hearted and friendly person. She was never shy around me even though I was a complete stranger to her. She's quite frank actually.." he said smiling "she will tell me if she doesn't like my question or if I'm beating around the bush. She told me that she is well aware of why she's talking to me so she wanted me to just ask important questions. So to sum up my question, I ask her insight when it comes to the differences of her mom and her dad" I turn to look at Jennie and she's just listening, I turn to look on the other side and Kang's also listening carefully "she told me that they are both kind towards her. They never limit her when it comes to the things that she wanted to do. Her mom is good at disciplining her but also making sure that she will receive as much love from her. Her dad is good at taking care of her and letting her do everything that she wanted in life" Kang's attorney raise up his hand a bit to catch the judge's attention so they nod at him so he can ask a question

"Did you ask her as to how her mom treated her when they moved here in LA?"

"Yes, she told me that her mom is really sad and she understood that. Her mom needed space and time so she gave her that" the prosecutor answered

"Your honor, if we're fighting for a child's custody I don't think we should let the kid adjust to the feelings of their parent or guardian. We should always separate our own problem, our work problem, and our family" he said before sitting back down as he finished proving a point. He's back on Jennie's mental state before.

"Prosecutor.." the judge calls out "did she ever felt that she's losing her mom's attention or she's not getting the proper treatment from her mother?"

"I believe, she told me that she was sadden by her mom's state at that time but she had her dad during those times" he answered

"Well that's bad.." I heard Jisoo's attorney says "Ella's just stating her own point of view and she can't lie so that definitely tainted Jennie's parenting at that time"

Jennie's attorney then raise her hand up a bit and they let her ask her question this time.

"Was she aware of what her mom went through after getting married" she's definitely diverting the attention from the topic

"She said she wasn't fully aware of it. She did notice it once but she thought that it was just a small and one time fight. I believe the petitioner informed her about it before proceeding with filing a case, right?" He said making Jennie's attorney nod

"Your honor, my client didn't tell her kid about it cause she was worried of how she will react to it and how much fear she'll get from it. Isn't that a part of protecting her kid too?" She said

"What do you think?" Chaeyoung ask the lawyer

"The point she's trying to prove isn't as solid and planned as the other attorney's argument" so it's not looking good for Ella's custody huh?

"Your honor, may I ask about Ella's final decision?" Jennie's attorney asked once more making the judge nod

"Ella said that Kang is a really good father but she will always stick by her mom" I look towards Jennie and she sigh deeply as her eyes started tearing up. She must've felt relieved by that answer. The judge nodded and made sure to write it on his note. I'm well aware that Ella's decision on choosing Jennie is more than enough to make her mom happy.

"Not looking good" Jisoo's attorney stated

"The prosecutor said that Ella chose Jennie right?" Eunwoo asks

"Yeah, but the judge will decide not base on what the kid wanted but what's best for her" I cross my arms and furrow my brows. This is just giving me a huge headache

"Her happiness is what's best for her. If she decided to stay with Jennie then I think that is her happiness" Seulgi says

"Well happiness isn't something the law revolves around" Jisoo's attorney answers honestly "actually the court normally chooses who is more financially stable but both Kang and Jennie earns a lot so that is out of the way. Right now they proved that Kang took care of her and was kind to her"

"Yeah, he's also a douchebag who hurts her mom so it might also happen to her" Irene says

"The statement that Kang's attorney provided was something that is already proven. Arguing that Kang might do the same towards Ella isn't something very promising since we don't have any proof cause we're just predicting something that may or may not happen" he says

"Do we have a lunch break here? I'm starving because of too much stress in here" Chaeyoung says. I look at my wrist watch and it is already noon time.

"We might" Jisoo says "I heard that the whole trial will go on until the afternoon. This might be the last day too.. well I hope"

"Do I raise my hand and ask for a lunch break or something?" Chaeyoung ask innocently making us all smile

"He's tidying up so he might announce it right now" Jackson says looking at the judge

"The court trial will continue after a lunch break. We will bring in another witness.. as far as I'm aware, it is also our last witness" the judge says

"Last witness? Kang's witness? I don't think Jennie invited more people" I said turning around to look at the attorney

"They have the same custody rights for the child, that is why their opinion is also very valid. We will have the child's biological grandmother on the witness stand after the lunch break."

"Don't tell me they're talking about Jennie's mom?" I said in almost a whisper
